⁴³ And Iesus sayd vnto him: Verely I saye vnto the: to daye shalt thou be with me in Paradise.

²⁷ Suche a respecte hath he vnto men. Therfore let a man confesse (and saye) I offended, but he hath chastened and reformed me: I dyd vnryghteouslye, neuerthelesse he hath not recompensed me thereafter. ²⁸ Yea he hath delyuered my soule from destruccyon, and my lyfe, that it seeth the lyght. ²⁹ Lo, thus worcketh God alwaye wyth man, ³⁰ that he kepeth hys soule from peryshynge, and letteth hym enioye the lyghte of the lyuyng.

⁵ Therfore I confessed my sinne vnto the & hyd not myne vnryghtuousnes. I sayde: I wyll knowledge myne offence and accuse my selfe vnto the Lord, & so thou forgauest me the wickednesse of my synne Selah.

¹⁵ And call vpon me in the tyme of trouble, so wyll I heare the, that thou shalte thanke me.

¹⁸ Nowe go to (sayth the Lorde) we will talke together. Is it not so? Thoughe youre synnes be as reade as scarlet, shal they not be whyther then snowe? And though they were lyke purple, shall they not be lyke white wolle? ¹⁹ Is it not so? If ye be louynge and obedyent, ye shall enioye the best thynge that groweth in the lande.

¹¹ Wyth trauayle and laboure of hys soule, shall he obtayne great ryches. My ryghtuous seruaunte shall wyth hys wysdome iustifye & delyuer the multitude, for he shal beare away theyr synnes,

⁶ Seke the Lorde, whyle he maye be founde, & call vpon hym whyle he is nye. ⁷ Let the vngodly man forsake his wayes & the vnrighteous his ymaginacions, & turne agayne vnto the Lorde: so shall he be mercyfull vnto him: & to oure God, for he is redy to forgeue. ⁸ For thus saith the Lorde: my thoughtes are not youre thoughtes, & youre wayes are not my wayes, ⁹ but as farre as the heauens are hyer then the earth, so farre do my wayes exceade yours, and my thoughtes yours.

²⁴ And it shalbe, that or euer they call, I shall answere them. While they are yet but thinckinge howe to speake. I shal heare them.

¹⁸ Where is there such a God as thou? that pardonest wickednes, and forgeuest the offences of the remnaunte of thyne herytage? He kepeth not hys wrath for euer. And why? his delyte is to haue compassyon:

¹⁵ Is it not lawful for me to do as me lusteth with myne owne? Is thyne eye euel because I am good? ¹⁶ So the laste shalbe firste, and the first shalbe laste. For many are called, and few be chosen.

⁴ What man of you hauynge an hundred shepe, yf he loose one of them, doth not leaue nynty and nyne in the wildernes, and go after that which is lost vntyl he fynde hym? ⁵ And when he hath found hym, he putteth hym on hys shoulders wyth ioye.

²⁰ And he arose and wente to his father. And when he was yet a great way of, hys father sawe hym, and had compassyon and ran and fell on hys necke, & kyssed hym. ²¹ And the sonne sayed vnto him: father, I haue synned agaynst heauen in thy syghte, & am no more worthy to be called thy sonne. ²² But hys father sayed to hys seruauntes: brynge forthe that beste garmentes, & put it on hym, and put a rynge on hys hande, & showes on hys fete. ²³ And brynge hyther the fatted caulfe and kyll hym, and let vs eate and be merye: ²⁴ for thys my sonne was dead, and is alyue agayne, he was lost and is nowe founde. And they beganne to be mery.

¹⁰ For the sonne of man is come to seke, and to saue that which was loste.

³ And yf I go to prepare a place for you, I wyl come agayne, and receyue you euen vnto my self, that wher I am, there may ye be also.

²⁴ Father, I will that they which thou haste geuen me, be with me where I am, that they maye se my glory which thou hast geuen me. For thou louedest me before the makynge of the worlde.

²⁰ But the law in the meane tyme entred in, that sinne should encreace. Neuerthelater where aboundaunce of synne was, there was more plentuousnes of grace, ²¹ that as synne had reygned vnto death, euen so myght grace raygne thorow rightuousnes vnto eternall lyfe, by the helpe of Iesus Christe.

⁸ Neuerthelesse we are of good comforte, and had leuer be absente from the bodye, and to be presente with the Lorde.

³ And I knowe the same man (whether in the bodye, or oute of the bodye, I cannot tell, God knoweth) ⁴ howe that he was taken vp into paradyse, and hearde wordes not to be spoken, whiche no man can vtter.

²³ I wote not. I am constrayned of two thinges: I desire to be lowsed and to be wyth Christe, whiche thinge is best of all.

¹⁵ Thys is a true saiynge and by all meanes worthy to be receyued, that Christ Iesus came into the worlde to saue synners, of whom I am chiefe. ¹⁶ Not wythstandyng for this cause was mercye geuen vnto me that Iesus christ shoulde fyrste shewe on me all longe pacience vnto the ensample of them whiche shal in tyme to come beleue on hym vnto eternall lyfe.

²⁵ Wherfor he is able also euer to saue them that come vnto God by hym, seyng he euer lyueth, to make intercessyon for vs.

⁷ Let him that hath eares heare, what the spirite sayeth vnto the congregacions. To him that ouercommeth, wyl I geue to eate of the tree of lyfe, whyche is in the middes of the Paradyse of God.
