¹ And it chaunsed within a while that Amraphel king of Sinear Arioch king of Ellasar, Kedorlaomor king of Elam, & Thideal king of the nations, ² made warre wyth the kynge of Bera, kyng of Sodome, and wyth Girsa kynge of Gomorra, and wt Sineab, king of Adama, & wyth Semeabar kyng of Zeboim, & wyth the kyng of Bela, whych Bela is called Zoar. ³ All these came togyther to the vale of Siddim, which is nowe the salt sea. ⁴ Twelue yere were they subiecte to Kynge Kedorlaomor, and in the .xiij. yere rebelled. ⁵ Therefore in the .xiiij. yere came Kedorlaomor, and the kynges that were wyth hym, and smote the Raphims in Astaroth Karnaim, and the Susims in Ham, and the Emims in Sabe Kariathaim, ⁶ & the Horims in theyr owne mounte Seir, vnto the playne of Pharan, whyche bordereth vpon the wildernes. ⁷ And then turned they & came to the well of Iudgemente whyche is Cades, and smot all the countrye of Amalechites, and also the Amorites that dwell in Hazezon Thamer. ⁸ Then wente out the Kyng of Sodome, & the kynge of Gomorha, & the kynge of Adama, and the kyng of Zeboim, and the king of Bela, nowe called Zoar. And set their men in aray to fyght wyth them in the vale of Siddym, ⁹ that is to saye, wyth Kedorlaomor the kynge of Elam, and wyth Thideall kyng of the Nacions, and wyth Amraphel kinge of Synear. And wyth Arioch kyng uf Ellazar: foure kynges agaynst fiue.

⁷ And he began hys parable and said: Balac the king of Moab hath fette me from Mesopotamia out of the mountaynes of the east, sayinge: come and curse me Iacob, come & defye me Israel.

¹⁹ And Phul kynge of Assiria came vpon the lande. And Manahem gaue Phul a thousand talentes of syluer, to helpe hym to stablyshe hys kyngdome.

¹⁷ In that meane season whyle he was yet speakynge there came another, and sayde: The Caldees made thre armies, & fell in vpon thy camels, which they haue caried awaye, yee and slayne thy seruauntes with the swearde: and I only am gotten awaye, to tell the:

³⁴ These are the wordes, that the Lord spake to the Prophet Ieremye concernynge Elam, in the beginninge of the raygne of Zedekiah kynge of Iuda. ³⁵ Thus sayeth the Lorde of hostes: Beholde, I wyll breake the bowe of Elam, and take awaye theyr strength: ³⁶ and vpon Elam I wyll brynge the foure wyndes from the foure quarters of heauen, and wyll scatre them agaynste the same foure wyndes. And there shalbe no people, but some of Elam shall fle vnto them. ³⁷ For I wyll cause Elam to be afrayed of theyr enemyes, and of them that seke theyr lyues, and wyll brynge vpon them the indignacyon of my wrathe, sayeth the Lorde. And I wyll persecute them with the swearde so longe tyll I haue broughte them to naughte. ³⁸ I wyll set my stole in Elam, I wyl destroye bothe the kyng and the princes from thence, sayeth the Lorde. ³⁹ But in processe of the, I wil bringe Elam oute of captyuyte agayne, sayeth the Lorde.
