⁶ Then she arose with her daughters-in-law, that she might return from the field of Moab; for she had heard in the field of Moab how that the LORD had remembered His people in giving them bread.

¹ And the LORD remembered Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as He had spoken.

²⁰ And Jacob vowed a vow, saying: 'If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,

¹⁵ And he blessed Joseph, and said: 'The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God who hath been my shepherd all my life long unto this day,

¹⁶ Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them: The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, hath appeared unto me, saying: I have surely remembered you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt.

³¹ And the people believed; and when they heard that the LORD had remembered the children of Israel, and that He had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.

⁴ Then said the LORD unto Moses: 'Behold, I will cause to rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day's portion every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in My law, or not. ⁵ And it shall come to pass on the sixth day that they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.' ⁶ And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel: 'At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt;

²¹ So the LORD remembered Hannah, and she conceived, and bore three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.

¹⁴ Who causeth the grass to spring up for the cattle, and herb for the service of man; to bring forth bread out of the earth, ¹⁵ And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, making the face brighter than oil, and bread that stayeth man's heart.

⁵ He hath given food unto them that fear Him; He will ever be mindful of His covenant.

¹⁵ I will abundantly bless her provision; I will give her needy bread in plenty.

¹⁵ The eyes of all wait for Thee, and Thou givest them their food in due season.

⁷ Who executeth justice for the oppressed; who giveth bread to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners;

¹⁴ He maketh thy borders peace; He giveth thee in plenty the fat of wheat.

⁸ Remove far from me falsehood and lies; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with mine allotted bread;

¹⁰ For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, except it water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, and give seed to the sower and bread to the eater;

¹⁰ For thus saith the LORD: After seventy years are accomplished for Babylon, I will remember you, and perform My good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

⁷ And it shall be a portion for the remnant of the house of Judah, whereon they shall feed; in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening; for the LORD their God will remember them, and turn their captivity.

¹¹ Give us this day our daily bread.

⁶⁸ Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, For he hath visited and wrought redemption for his people,

⁴⁴ and shall dash thee to the ground, and thy children within thee, and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another, because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

⁸ but having food and covering we shall be therewith content.

¹² having your behavior seemly among the Gentiles, that, wherein they speak against you as evil-doers, they may by your good works, which they behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
