³ Knowe ye that euen the Lord is God: hee hath made vs, and not we our selues: we are his people, and the sheepe of his pasture.

³⁵ Vnto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest knowe, that the Lord hee is God, and that there is none but he alone.

³⁹ Vnderstande therefore this day, and consider in thine heart, that the Lord, he is God in heauen aboue, and vpon the earth beneath: there is none other.

⁹ That thou mayest knowe, that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithfull God which keepeth couenant and mercie vnto them that loue him and keepe his commandements, euen to a thousand generations,

⁴⁶ This day shall the Lord close thee in mine hand, and I shall smite thee, and take thine head from thee, and I wil giue the carkeises of the hoste of the Philistims this daye vnto the foules of the heauen, and to the beasts of the earth, that all the world may know that Israel hath a God, ⁴⁷ And that all this assembly may know, that the Lord saueth not with sworde nor with speare (for the battel is the Lords) and he will giue you into our handes.

³⁶ And when they should offer the euening sacrifice, Eliiah the Prophet came, and sayd, Lord God of Abraham, Izhak and of Israel, let it be knowen this day, that thou art the God of Israel, and that I am thy seruant, and that I haue done all these things at thy commandement. ³⁷ Heare me, O Lord, heare me, and let this people know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart againe at the last. ³⁸ Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt offring, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked vp the water that was in the ditche. ³⁹ And when all the people sawe it, they fell on their faces, and saide, The Lord is God, the Lord is God.

¹⁹ Nowe therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, saue thou vs out of his hande, that all the kingdomes of the earth may knowe, that thou, O Lord, art onely God.

³ Thinkest thou it good to oppresse me, and to cast off the labour of thine handes, and to fauour the counsel of the wicked?

⁸ Thine handes haue made me, and fashioned mee wholy rounde about, and wilt thou destroy me? ⁹ Remember, I pray thee, that thou hast made me as the clay, and wilt thou bring me into dust againe? ¹⁰ Hast thou not powred me out as milke? and turned me to cruds like cheese? ¹¹ Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and ioyned me together with bones and sinewes. ¹² Thou hast giuen me life, and grace: and thy visitation hath preserued my spirit. ¹³ Though thou hast hid these things in thine heart, yet I knowe that it is so with thee.

⁴ Which haue saide, With our tongue will we preuaile: our lippes are our owne: who is Lord ouer vs?

¹⁰ Be still and knowe that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, and I wil be exalted in the earth.

¹ A Psalme to give instruction, committed to Asaph. O God, why hast thou put vs away for euer? why is thy wrath kindled against the sheepe of thy pasture? ² Thinke vpon thy Congregation, which thou hast possessed of olde, and on the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed, and on this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.

⁵² But hee made his people to goe out like sheepe, and led them in the wildernes like a flocke.

¹³ So wee thy people, and sheepe of thy pasture shall praise thee for euer: and from generation to generation we will set foorth thy praise.

³ For the Lord is a great God, and a great King aboue all gods.

⁶ Come, let vs worship and fall downe, and kneele before the Lord our maker. ⁷ For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheepe of his hande: to day, if ye will heare his voyce,

⁷³ IOD. Thine hands haue made me and fashioned me: giue mee vnderstanding therefore, that I may learne thy commandements.

¹³ For thou hast possessed my reines: thou hast couered me in my mothers wombe. ¹⁴ I will praise thee, for I am fearefully and wonderously made: marueilous are thy workes, and my soule knoweth it well. ¹⁵ My bones are not hid from thee, though I was made in a secret place, and facioned beneath in the earth. ¹⁶ Thine eyes did see me, when I was without forme: for in thy booke were all things written, which in continuance were facioned, when there was none of them before. ¹⁷ Howe deare therefore are thy thoughtes vnto me, O God! how great is ye summe of them! ¹⁸ If I should count them, they are moe then the sand: when I wake, I am still with thee. ¹⁹ Oh that thou wouldest slay, O God, the wicked and bloody men, to whom I say, Depart ye from mee: ²⁰ Which speake wickedly of thee, and being thine enemies are lifted vp in vaine. ²¹ Doe not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and doe not I earnestly contend with those that rise vp against thee? ²² I hate them with an vnfained hatred, as they were mine vtter enemies. ²³ Try mee, O God, and knowe mine heart: prooue me and know my thoughtes, ²⁴ And consider if there be any way of wickednes in me, and leade me in the way for euer.

² Let Israel reioyce in him that made him, and let ye children of Zion reioyce in their King.

¹ Remember nowe thy Creator in the daies of thy youth, whiles the euill daies come not, nor the yeeres approche, wherein thou shalt say, I haue no pleasure in them:

⁹ O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee vp into the hie mountaine: O Ierusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift vp thy voyce with strength: lift it vp, be not afraide: say vnto the cities of Iudah, Beholde your God. ¹⁰ Beholde, the Lord God will come with power, and his arme shall rule for him: beholde, his rewarde is with him, and his worke before him, ¹¹ He shall feede his flocke like a shepheard: he shall gather the lambes with his arme, and cary them in his bosome, and shall guide them with young.

¹¹ Then he remembred the olde time of Moses and his people, saying, Where is hee that brought them vp out of the Sea with the shepheard of his sheepe? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?

¹⁹ We haue bene as they, ouer whome thou neuer barest rule, and vpon whom thy Name was not called.

¹⁰ But the Lord is the God of trueth: he is the liuing God, and an euerlasting King: at his anger the earth shall tremble, and the nations cannot abide his wrath.

¹¹ For thus sayeth the Lord God, Beholde, I will search my sheepe, and seeke them out.

³⁰ Thus shall they vnderstande, that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they, euen the house of Israel, are my people, sayth the Lord God. ³¹ And yee my sheepe, the sheepe of my pasture are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God.

¹⁴ I am that good shepheard, and knowe mine, and am knowen of mine. ¹⁵ As the Father knoweth me, so know I the Father: and I lay downe my life for my sheepe. ¹⁶ Other sheepe I haue also, which are not of this folde: them also must I bring, and they shall heare my voyce: and there shalbe one sheepefolde, and one shepheard.

²⁶ But ye beleeue not: for ye are not of my sheepe, as I sayd vnto you. ²⁷ My sheepe heare my voyce, and I knowe them, and they follow me, ²⁸ And I giue vnto them eternall life, and they shall neuer perish, neither shall any plucke them out of mine hand.

³ And this is life eternall, that they knowe thee to be the onely very God, and whom thou hast sent, Iesus Christ.

²³ For as I passed by, and behelde your deuotions, I founde an altar wherein was written, VNTO THE VNKNOWEN GOD. Whom ye then ignorantly worship, him shewe I vnto you. ²⁴ God that made the world, and all things that are therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaue and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands,

²⁸ Take heede therefore vnto your selues, and to all the flocke, whereof the holy Ghost hath made you Ouerseers, to feede the Church of God, which hee hath purchased with that his owne blood. ²⁹ For I knowe this, that after my departing shall grieuous wolues enter in among you, not sparing the flocke.

¹⁹ Knowe yee not, that your body is the temple of the holy Ghost, which is in you, whom ye haue of God? and yee are not your owne. ²⁰ For yee are bought for a price: therefore glorifie God in your bodie, and in your spirit: for they are Gods.

⁶ For God that commanded the light to shine out of darknesse, is he which hath shined in our hearts, to giue the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Iesus Christ.

⁸ But euen then, when ye knewe not God, yee did seruice vnto them, which by nature are not gods: ⁹ But now seeing ye knowe God, yea, rather are knowen of God, howe turne ye againe vnto impotent and beggerly rudiments, whereunto as from the beginning ye wil be in bondage againe?

¹⁰ For we are his workemanship created in Christ Iesus vnto good workes, which God hath ordeined, that we should walke in them.

⁹ But yee are a chosen generation, a royall Priesthoode, an holy nation, a people set at libertie, that yee shoulde shewe foorth the vertues of him that hath called you out of darkenesse into his marueilous light,

²⁵ For ye were as sheepe going astray: but are nowe returned vnto the shepheard and Bishop of your soules.

¹⁹ Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God, commit their soules to him in well doing, as vnto a faithfull Creator.

² Feede the flocke of God, which dependeth vpon you, caring for it not by constraint, but willingly: not for filthy lucre, but of a ready minde: ³ Not as though ye were lords ouer Gods heritage, but that yee may bee ensamples to the flocke. ⁴ And when that chiefe shepheard shall appeare, ye shall receiue an incorruptible crowne of glory.

²⁰ But we know that that Sone of God is come, and hath giue vs a mind to know him, which is true: and we are in him that is true, that is, in that his Sone Iesus Christ: this same is that very God, and that eternal life.
