¹³ And from them that leaue the wayes of righteousnes to walke in the wayes of darkenes:

¹³ These are they, that abhorre the light: they know not the wayes thereof, nor continue in the paths thereof. ¹⁴ The murtherer riseth earely and killeth the poore and the needie: and in the night he is as a theefe. ¹⁵ The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, and sayth, None eye shall see me, and disguiseth his face. ¹⁶ They digge through houses in the darke, which they marked for themselues in the daye: they knowe not the light.

³ All are gone out of the way: they are all corrupt: there is none that doeth good, no not one.

³ The wordes of his mouth are iniquitie and deceit: hee hath left off to vnderstand and to doe good.

⁵ They knowe not and vnderstand nothing: they walke in darkenes, albeit all the foundations of the earth be mooued.

¹⁹ The way of the wicked is as the darkenes: they knowe not wherein they shall fall.

¹⁶ A man that wandreth out of the way of wisdome, shall remaine in the congregation of the dead.

²⁶ For when a righteous man turneth away from his righteousnes, and committeth iniquitie, he shall euen die for the same, he shall euen die for his iniquitie, that he hath done.

¹² Therefore thou sonne of man, saye vnto the children of thy people, The righteousnesse of the righteous shall not deliuer him in the day of his transgression, nor the wickednesse of the wicked shall cause him to fall therein, in the day that he returneth from his wickednesse, neither shall the righteous liue for his righteousnesse in the day that he sinneth. ¹³ When I shall say vnto the righteous, that he shall surely liue, if he trust to his owne righteousnes, and commit iniquitie, all his righteousnes shall be no more remembred, but for his iniquitie that he hath committed, he shall die for the same.

⁶ And them that are turned backe from the Lord, and those that haue not sought the Lord, nor inquired for him.

⁴³ Nowe when the vncleane spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh throughout drie places, seeking rest, and findeth none. ⁴⁴ Then he saith, I wil returne into mine house from whence I came: and when he is come, he findeth it emptie, swept and garnished. ⁴⁵ Then he goeth, and taketh vnto him seuen other spirites worse then himselfe, and they enter in, and dwell there: and the ende of that man is worse then the beginning. Euen so shall it be with this wicked generation.

⁶ There was a man sent from God, whose name was Iohn.

⁹ Nowe when the gouernour of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, (for he knewe not whence it was: but the seruants, which drewe the water, knewe) the gouernour of ye feast called the bridegrome, ¹⁰ And saide vnto him, All men at the beginning set foorth good wine, and when men haue well drunke, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept backe the good wine vntill nowe. ¹¹ This beginning of miracles did Iesus in Cana a towne of Galile, and shewed forth his glorie: and his disciples beleeued on him.

¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, that that light came into the worlde, and men loued darknesse rather then that light, because their deedes were euill. ²⁰ For euery man that euill doeth, hateth the light, neither commeth to light, least his deedes should be reprooued.

³⁵ Then Iesus sayd vnto them, Yet a litle while is the light with you: walke while ye haue that light, lest the darkenes come vpon you: for hee that walketh in the darke, knoweth not whither he goeth.

²¹ Because that when they knewe God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankefull, but became vaine in their thoughtes, and their foolish heart was full of darkenesse.

⁵ Yee are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, neither of darkenesse. ⁶ Therefore let vs not sleepe as do other, but let vs watch and be sober. ⁷ For they that sleepe, sleepe in the night, and they that be drunken, are drunken in the night.

¹⁰ For Demas hath forsaken me, and hath embraced this present world, and is departed vnto Thessalonica. Crescens is gone to Galatia, Titus vnto Dalmatia.

⁴ For it is impossible that they which were once lightened, and haue tasted of the heauenly gift, and were made partakers of the holy Ghost, ⁵ And haue tasted of the good word of God, and of the powers of the world to come, ⁶ If they fal away, should be renued againe by repentance: seeing they crucifie againe to themselues the Sonne of God, and make a mocke of him.

²⁰ For if they, after they haue escaped from the filthinesse of the world, through the acknowledging of the Lord, and of the Sauiour Iesus Christ, are yet tangled againe therein, and ouercome, the latter ende is worse with them then the beginning. ²¹ For it had bene better for them, not to haue acknowledged the way of righteousnes, then after they haue acknowledged it, to turne from the holy commandement giuen vnto them. ²² But it is come vnto them, according to the true Prouerbe, The dogge is returned to his owne vomit: and, The sowe that was washed, to the wallowing in the myre.

¹⁹ They went out from vs, but they were not of vs: for if they had bene of vs, they should haue continued with vs. But this cometh to passe, that it might appeare, that they are not all of vs.
