²⁴ And from thence he rose, and went into the borders of Tyrus and Sidon, and entred into an house, and woulde that no man should haue knowen: but he could not be hid.

¹ The burden of Tyrus. Howle, yee shippes of Tarshish: for it is destroied, so that there is none house: none shall come from the lande of Chittim: it is reueiled vnto them. ² Be still, yee that dwell in the yles: the marchantes of Zidon, and such as passe ouer the sea, haue replenished thee. ³ The seede of Nilus growing by the abundance of waters, and the haruest of the riuer was her reuenues, and she was a marte of the nations. ⁴ Be ashamed, thou Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, euen the strength of the sea, saying, I haue not trauailed, nor brought forth children, neither nourished yong men, nor brought vp virgins.

¹² And he saide, Thou shalt no more reioyce when thou art oppressed: O virgin daughter of Zidon: rise vp, goe ouer vnto Chittim: yet there thou shalt haue no rest.

² He shall not crie, nor lift vp, nor cause his voice to be heard in the streete.

² Sonne of man, say vnto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saieth the Lord God, Because thine heart is exalted, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God in ye mids of the sea, yet thou art but a man and not God, and though thou didest thinke in thine heart, that thou wast equall with God,

²¹ Sonne of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophesie against it, ²² And say, Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I come against thee, O Zidon, and I will be glorified in the mids of thee: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall haue executed iudgements in her, and shalbe sanctified in her.

²⁸ And when hee was come into the house, the blinde came to him, and Iesus saide vnto them, Beleeue yee that I am able to doe this? And they sayd vnto him, Yea, Lord.

²¹ Woe be to thee, Chorazin: Woe be to thee, Bethsaida: for if ye great workes, which were done in you, had bene done in Tyrus and Sidon, they had repented long agone in sackecloth and ashes.

²¹ And Iesus went thence, and departed into the coastes of Tyrus and Sidon. ²² And beholde, a woman a Cananite came out of the same coasts, and cried, saying vnto him, Haue mercie on me, O Lord, the sonne of Dauid: my daughter is miserably vexed with a deuil. ²³ But hee answered her not a worde. Then came to him his disciples, and besought him, saying, Sende her away, for she crieth after vs. ²⁴ But he answered, and said, I am not sent, but vnto the lost sheepe of the house of Israel. ²⁵ Yet she came, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, helpe me. ²⁶ And he answered, and said, It is not good to take the childrens bread, and to cast it to whelps. ²⁷ But she said, Trueth, Lord: yet in deede the whelpes eate of the crommes, which fall from their masters table. ²⁸ Then Iesus answered, and saide vnto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it to thee, as thou desirest. And her daughter was made whole at that houre.

¹ After a fewe dayes, hee entred into Capernaum againe, and it was noysed that he was in the house.

⁷ But Iesus auoided with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude followed him from Galile, and from Iudea, ⁸ And from Ierusalem, and from Idumea, and beyonde Iordan: and they that dwelled about Tyrus and Sidon, when they had heard what great things he did, came vnto him in great number.

³¹ And he sayd vnto them, Come ye apart into the wildernes, and rest a while: for there were many commers and goers, that they had not leasure to eate. ³² So they went by ship out of the way into a desart place.

²⁵ Likewise also the good woorkes are manifest before hande, and they that are otherwise, cannot be hid.
