⁵ Euery valley shalbe filled, and euery mountaine and hill shall be brought lowe, and crooked things shalbe made straight, and the rough wayes shalbe made smoothe.

¹¹ The hie looke of man shall be humbled, and the loftinesse of men shalbe abased, and the Lord onely shall be exalted in that day. ¹² For the day of the Lord of hostes is vpon all the proude and hautie, and vpon all that is exalted: and it shalbe made lowe. ¹³ Euen vpon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are hie and exalted, and vpon all the okes of Bashan, ¹⁴ And vpon all the hie mountaines, and vpon all the hilles that are lifted vp, ¹⁵ And vpon euery hie tower, and vpon euery strong wall, ¹⁶ And vpon all the shippes of Tarshish, and vpon all pleasant pictures. ¹⁷ And the hautinesse of men shalbe brought low, and the loftinesse of men shalbe abased, and the Lord shall onely be exalted in that day.

⁶ Then shall ye lame man leape as an hart, and the dumme mans tongue shall sing: for in the wildernes shall waters breake out, and riuers in ye desert. ⁷ And the dry ground shalbe as a poole, and the thirstie (as springs of water in the habitation of dragons: where they lay) shall be a place for reedes and rushes. ⁸ And there shalbe a path and a way, and the way shalbe called holy: the polluted shall not passe by it: for he shalbe with them, and walke in the way, and the fooles shall not erre.

⁴ Euery valley shall be exalted, and euery mountaine and hill shall be made lowe: and the crooked shalbe streight, and the rough places plaine.

¹⁶ And I will bring the blinde by a way, that they knewe not, and lead them by paths that they haue not knowen: I will make darkenesse light before them, and crooked thinges straight. These thinges will I doe vnto them, and not forsake them.

² I will goe before thee and make the crooked streight: I will breake the brasen doores, and burst the yron barres.

¹¹ And I will make all my mountaines, as a way, and my paths shalbe exalted.

¹ The Spirit of the Lord God is vpon mee, therefore hath the Lord anoynted mee: hee hath sent mee to preache good tidings vnto the poore, to binde vp the broken hearted, to preach libertie to the captiues, and to them that are bound, the opening of the prison, ² To preache the acceptable yeere of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all that mourne, ³ To appoint vnto them that mourne in Zion, and to giue vnto them beautie for ashes, the oyle of ioye for mourning, the garment of gladnesse for the spirit of heauinesse, that they might be called trees of righteousnesse, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

²⁴ And all the trees of the fielde shall knowe that I the Lord haue brought downe the hie tree, and exalted the lowe tree, that I haue dried vp the greene tree, and made the drie tree to florish: I the Lord haue spoken it, and haue done it.

⁵¹ Hee hath shewed strength with his arme: hee hath scattered the proude in the imagination of their hearts. ⁵² Hee hath put downe the mighty from their seates, and exalted them of lowe degree. ⁵³ Hee hath filled the hungrie with good things, and sent away the rich emptie.

¹² Wherfore lift vp your hands which hang downe, and your weake knees, ¹³ And make straight steppes vnto your feete, lest that which is halting, be turned out of the way, but let it rather be healed.
