¹⁶ And said vnto them that solde doues, Take these things hence: make not my fathers house, an house of marchandise.

⁵ Euen vnto them wil I giue in mine House and within my walles, a place and a name better then of the sonnes and of the daughters: I will giue them an euerlasting name, that shall not be put out. ⁶ Also the strangers that cleaue vnto the Lord, to serue him, and to loue the Name of the Lord, and to be his seruants: euery one that keepeth the Sabbath, and polluteth it not and imbraceth my couenant, ⁷ Them wil I bring also to mine holy mountaine, and make them ioyfull in mine House of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted vpon mine altar: for mine House shall be called an house of prayer for all people. ⁸ The Lord God sayth, which gathereth the scattered of Israel, Yet wil I gather to them those that are to be gathered to them. ⁹ All ye beastes of the fielde, come to deuoure, euen all ye beastes of the forest. ¹⁰ Their watchmen are all blinde: they haue no knowledge: they are all dumme dogs: they can not barke: they lie and sleepe and delite in sleeping. ¹¹ And these griedy dogs can neuer haue ynough: and these shepheards cannot vnderstand: for they all looke to their owne way, euery one for his aduantage, and for his owne purpose.

¹¹ Is this House become a denne of theeues, whereupon my Name is called before your eyes? Beholde, euen I see it, sayeth the Lord.

⁷ He is Canaan: the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loueth to oppresse. ⁸ And Ephraim saide, Notwithstanding I am rich, I haue found me out riches in all my labours: they shall finde none iniquitie in me, that were wickednesse.

¹³ And said to them, it is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer: but ye haue made it a denne of theeues.

¹⁷ And he taught, saying vnto them, Is it not written, Mine house shalbe called the house of prayer vnto all nations? but you haue made it a denne of theeues.

⁴⁹ Then said he vnto them, Howe is it that ye sought me? knewe ye not that I must goe about my Fathers busines?

¹⁷ But Iesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I worke.

⁴⁹ Iesus answered, I haue not a deuil, but I honour my Father, and ye haue dishonoured me.

²⁹ My Father which gaue them me, is greater then all, and none is able to take them out of my Fathers hand.

³ And through couetousnes shall they with fained words make marchandise of you, whose condemnation long since resteth not, and their destruction slumbreth not.

¹⁴ Hauing eyes full of adulterie, and that can not cease to sinne, beguiling vnstable soules: they haue heartes exercised with couetousnesse, they are the children of curse: ¹⁵ Which forsaking the right way, haue gone astray, folowing the way of Balaam, the sonne of Bosor, which loued the wages of vnrighteousnes.
