⁶ He mainteineth not the wicked, but he giueth iudgement to the afflicted.

²² Ye shall not trouble any widowe, nor fatherlesse childe. ²³ If thou vexe or trouble such, and so he call and cry vnto me, I will surely heare his cry. ²⁴ Then shall my wrath be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wiues shall be widowes, and your children fatherlesse.

¹⁵ But he saueth the poore from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hande of the violent man,

²² They that hate thee, shall be clothed with shame, and the dwelling of the wicked shall not remaine.

⁷ Wherefore do the wicked liue, and waxe olde, and grow in wealth? ⁸ Their seede is established in their sight with them, and their generation before their eyes. ⁹ Their houses are peaceable without feare, and the rod of God is not vpon them.

³⁰ But the wicked is kept vnto the day of destruction, and they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.

¹² For I deliuered the poore that cryed, and the fatherlesse, and him that had none to helpe him. ¹³ The blessing of him that was ready to perish, came vpon me, and I caused the widowes heart to reioyce. ¹⁴ I put on iustice, and it couered me: my iudgement was as a robe, and a crowne. ¹⁵ I was the eyes to the blinde, and I was the feete to the lame. ¹⁶ I was a father vnto the poore, and when I knewe not the cause, I sought it out diligently. ¹⁷ I brake also the chawes of the vnrighteous man, and pluckt the praye out of his teeth.

¹² For whe he maketh inquisition for blood, hee remembreth it, and forgetteth not the complaint of the poore.

¹⁴ Yet thou hast seene it: for thou beholdest mischiefe and wrong, that thou mayest take it into thine handes: the poore committeth himselfe vnto thee: for thou art the helper of the fatherlesse. ¹⁵ Breake thou the arme of the wicked and malicious: searche his wickednes, and thou shalt finde none.

²³ And thou, O God, shalt bring them downe into the pitte of corruption: the bloudie, and deceitfull men shall not liue halfe their dayes: but I will trust in thee.

⁴ He shall iudge the poore of the people: he shall saue the children of the needie, and shall subdue the oppressor.

¹² For he shall deliuer the poore when he cryeth: the needie also, and him that hath no helper. ¹³ He shalbe mercifull to the poore and needie, and shall preserue the soules of the poore. ¹⁴ He shall redeeme their soules from deceite and violence, and deare shall their blood be in his sight.

Selah. ³ Doe right to the poore and fatherlesse: doe iustice to the poore and needie. ⁴ Deliuer the poore and needie: saue them from the hand of the wicked.

¹² I know that the Lord will auenge the afflicted, and iudge the poore.

²² Robbe not the poore, because hee is poore, neither oppresse the afflicted in iudgement. ²³ For the Lord will defende their cause, and spoyle the soule of those that spoyle them.

⁴ But with righteousnesse shall he iudge the poore, and with equitie shall he reprooue for the meeke of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lippes shall he slay the wicked.

¹ O Lord, if I dispute with thee, thou art righteous: yet let mee talke with thee of thy iudgements: wherefore doeth the way of the wicked prosper? why are all they in wealth that rebelliously transgresse? ² Thou hast planted them, and they haue taken roote: they grow, and bring forth fruite: thou art neere in their mouth, and farre from their reines.

⁹ The Lord knoweth to deliuer the godly out of tentation, and to reserue the vniust vnto the day of iudgement vnder punishment.
