²³ Truely the hope of the hilles is but vaine, nor the multitude of mountaines: but in the Lord our God is the health of Israel.

⁸ Saluation belongeth vnto the Lord, and thy blessing is vpon thy people. Selah.

³⁹ But the saluation of the righteous men shalbe of the Lord: he shalbe their strength in the time of trouble. ⁴⁰ For the Lord shall helpe them, and deliuer them: he shall deliuer them from the wicked, and shall saue them, because they trust in him.

¹ A song of degrees. I will lift mine eyes vnto the mountaines, from whence mine helpe shall come. ² Mine helpe commeth from the Lord, which hath made the heauen and the earth.

² Beholde, God is my saluation: I will trust, and will not feare: for ye Lord God is my strength and song: he also is become my saluation.

¹¹ I, euen I am the Lord, and beside me there is no Sauiour.

⁹ All they that make an image, are vanitie, and their delectable things shall nothing profite: and they are their owne witnesses, that they see not nor know: therefore they shalbe confounded.

¹⁵ Verely thou, O God, hidest thy selfe, O God, the Sauiour of Israel.

¹⁷ But Israel shall be saued in the Lord, with an euerlasting saluation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded worlde without ende.

²⁰ Assemble your selues, and come: drawe neere together, ye abiect of the Gentiles: they haue no knowledge, that set vp the wood of their idole, and pray vnto a god, that cannot saue them.

⁷ They beare it vpon the shoulders: they carie him and set him in his place: so doeth he stand, and cannot remoue from his place. Though one crie vnto him, yet can he not answere, nor deliuer him out of his tribulation. ⁸ Remember this, and be ashamed: bring it againe to minde, O you transgressers.

¹ Who is this that commeth from Edom, with red garments from Bozrah? hee is glorious in his apparel and walketh in his great strength: I speake in righteousnesse, and am mightie to saue.

¹⁶ Doutles thou art our Father: though Abraham be ignorant of vs, and Israel knowe vs not, yet thou, O Lord, art our Father, and our redeemer: thy Name is for euer.

⁶ The Lord saide also vnto me, in the daies of Iosiah the King, Hast thou seene what this rebell Israel hath done? for she hath gone vp vpon euery high mountaine, and vnder euery greene tree, and there plaied the harlot.

¹⁴ Euery man is a beast by his owne knowledge: euery founder is confounded by the grauen image: for his melting is but falsehood, and there is no breath therein. ¹⁵ They are vanitie, and the worke of errours: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. ¹⁶ The portion of Iaakob is not like them: for he is the maker of all things, and Israel is the rodde of his inheritance: the Lord of hostes is his Name.

⁸ O the hope of Israel, the sauiour thereof in the time of trouble, why art thou as a strager in ye land, as one that passeth by to tary for a night?

¹⁴ Heale me, O Lord, and I shall bee whole: saue me, and I shall bee saued: for thou art my prayse.

²⁸ For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted vp mine hand to giue it to them, then they saw euery hie hill, and all the thicke trees, and they offred there their sacrifices, and there they presented their offering of prouocation: there also they made their sweete sauour, and powred out there their drinke offerings.

⁷ Yet I will haue mercie vpon the house of Iudah, and wil saue them by the Lord their God, and wil not saue them by bow, nor by sword nor by battell, by horses, nor by horsemen.

⁸ They that waite vpon lying vanities, forsake their owne mercie. ⁹ But I will sacrifice vnto thee with the voice of thankesgiuing, and will pay that that I haue vowed: saluation is of the Lord.

²² Ye worship that which ye knowe not: we worship that which we knowe: for saluation is of the Iewes.
