⁴ And the vessell that he made of clay, was broken in the hand of the potter. so he returned, and made it another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

⁹ Woe be vnto him that striueth with his maker, the potsherd with the potsherds of the earth: shall the clay say to him that facioneth it, What makest thou? or thy worke, It hath none hands?

⁶ O house of Israel, cannot I doe with you as this potter, sayth the Lord? beholde, as the clay is in the potters hande, so are you in mine hande, O house of Israel.

²⁰ But, O man, who art thou which pleadest against God? shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? ²¹ Hath not the potter power of the clay to make of the same lumpe one vessell to honour, and another vnto dishonour? ²² What and if God would, to shewe his wrath, and to make his power knowen, suffer with long patience the vessels of wrath, prepared to destruction? ²³ And that hee might declare the riches of his glory vpon the vessels of mercy, which hee hath prepared vnto glory?
