²³ Can the blacke More change his skin? or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do euill.

²² Though thou shouldest bray a foole in a morter among wheate brayed with a pestell, yet will not his foolishnes depart from him.

⁵ Wherefore shoulde ye be smitten any more? for ye fall away more and more: the whole head is sicke, and the whole heart is heauie.

²² Though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much sope, yet thine iniquitie is marked before me, sayeth the Lord God.

³⁰ I haue smitten your children in vaine, they receiued no correction: your owne sworde hath deuoured your Prophets like a destroying lyon.

³ O Lord, are not thine eyes vpon the trueth? thou hast striken them, but they haue not sorowed: thou hast consumed them, but they haue refused to receiue correction: they haue made their faces harder then a stone, and haue refused to returne.

²⁹ The bellowes are burnt: the lead is consumed in the fire: the founder melteth in vaine: for the wicked are not taken away. ³⁰ They shall call them reprobate siluer, because the Lord hath reiected them.

⁵ And euery one wil deceiue his friende, and wil not speake the trueth: for they haue taught their tongues to speake lies, and take great paynes to do wickedly.

⁹ The heart is deceitfull and wicked aboue all things, who can knowe it?

²⁴ And againe I say vnto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, then for a rich man to enter into ye kingdome of God. ²⁵ And whe his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amased, saying, Who then can be saued? ²⁶ And Iesus behelde them, and sayde vnto them, With men this is vnpossible, but with God all things are possible. ²⁷ Then answered Peter, and said to him, Beholde, we haue forsaken all, and followed thee: what therefore shall we haue? ²⁸ And Iesus said vnto them, Verely I say to you, that when the Sonne of man shall sit in the throne of his maiestie, ye which folowed me in the regeneration, shall sit also vpon twelue thrones and iudge the twelue tribes of Israel.
