²³ They shall not labour in vaine, nor bring forth in feare: for they are the seede of the blessed of the Lord, and their buds with them.

² And I will make of thee a great nation, and will blesse thee, and make thy name great, and thou shalt be a blessing.

⁷ Moreouer I wil establish my couenant betweene me and thee, and thy seede after thee in their generations, for an euerlasting couenant, to be God vnto thee and to thy seede after thee.

³ If ye walke in mine ordinances, and keepe my commandements, and doe them, ⁴ I will then sende you raine in due season, and the land shall yelde her increase, and the trees of the fielde shall giue her fruite. ⁵ And your threshing shall reache vnto the vintage, and the vintage shall reache vnto sowing time, and you shall eate your bread in plenteousnesse, and dwell in your land safely. ⁶ And I will sende peace in the land, and ye shall sleepe and none shall make you afraid: also I will rid euill beastes out of the lande, and the sworde shall not go through your lande. ⁷ Also ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you vpon the sworde. ⁸ And fiue of you shall chase an hundreth, and an hundreth of you shall put ten thousande to flight, and your enemies shall fall before you vpon the sworde. ⁹ For I will haue respect vnto you, and make you encrease, and multiplie you, and establish my couenant with you. ¹⁰ Ye shall eate also olde store, and cary out olde because of the newe.

²⁰ And your strength shalbe spent in vaine: neither shall your lande giue her increase, neither shall the trees of the land giue their fruite.

²² I will also sende wilde beastes vpon you, which shall spoyle you, and destroy your cattell, and make you fewe in number: so your hye waies shalbe desolate.

²⁹ And ye shall eate ye flesh of your sonnes, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye deuoure.

³ Blessed shalt thou be in the citie, and blessed also in the fielde. ⁴ Blessed shalbe the fruite of thy body, and ye fruite of thy ground, and the fruite of thy cattel, the increase of thy kine, and ye flocks of thy sheepe. ⁵ Blessed shalbe thy basket and thy dough. ⁶ Blessed shalt thou be, whe thou commest in, and blessed also when thou goest out. ⁷ The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise against thee, to fall before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and shall flee before thee leuen wayes. ⁸ The Lord shall command the blessing to be with thee in thy store houses, and in all that thou settest thine hande to, and wil blesse thee in the land which the Lord thy God giueth thee. ⁹ The Lord shall make thee an holy people vnto himself, as he hath sworne vnto thee, if thou shalt keepe the commandements of the Lord thy God, and walke in his wayes. ¹⁰ Then all people of the earth shall see that the Name of the Lord is called vpon ouer thee, and they shalbe afrayde of thee. ¹¹ And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruite of thy body, and in the fruite of thy cattell, and in the fruite of thy grounde, in the land which the Lord sware vnto thy fathers, to giue thee. ¹² The Lord shall open vnto thee his good treasure, euen the heauen to giue rayne vnto thy kind in due season, and to blesse all the worke of thine handes: and thou shalt lende vnto many nations, but shalt not borow thy selfe.

³⁸ Thou shalt carie out much seede into the fielde, and shalt gather but litle in: for the grashoppers shall destroy it. ³⁹ Thou shalt plant a vineyard, and dresse it, but shalt neither drinke of the wine, nor gather the grapes: for the wormes shall eate it. ⁴⁰ Thou shalt haue Oliue trees in all thy coastes, but shalt not anoynt thy selfe with the oyle: for thine oliues shall fall. ⁴¹ Thou shalt beget sonnes, and daughters, but shalt not haue them: for they shall goe into captiuitie. ⁴² All thy trees and fruite of thy land shall the grashopper consume.

¹⁴ The Lord will increase his graces towarde you, euen toward you and toward your children. ¹⁵ Ye are blessed of the Lord, which made the heauen and the earth.

⁴ And I said, I haue labored in vaine: I haue spent my strength in vaine and for nothing: but my iudgement is with the Lord, and my woorke with my God.

² Wherefore doe ye lay out siluer and not for bread? and your labour without being satisfied? hearken diligently vnto me, and eate that which is good, and let your soule delite in fatnes.

⁹ And their seede shall be knowen among the Gentiles, and their buddes among the people. All that see them, shall know them, that they are the seede which the Lord hath blessed.

³⁸ And they shall be my people, and I will be their God. ³⁹ And I wil giue them one heart and one way that they may feare me for euer for ye wealth of them, and of their children after them.

¹¹ Ephraim their glorie shall flee away like a birde: from the birth and from the wombe, and from the conception. ¹² Though they bring vp their children, yet I will depriue them from being men: yea, woe to them, when I depart from them. ¹³ Ephraim, as I sawe, is as a tree in Tyrus planted in a cottage: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murtherer. ¹⁴ O Lord, giue them: what wilt thou giue them? giue them a baren wombe and drie breasts.

⁶ Ye haue sowen much, and bring in litle: ye eate, but ye haue not ynough: ye drinke, but ye are not filled: ye clothe you, but ye be not warme: and he that earneth wages, putteth the wages into a broken bagge.

¹⁹ Consider, I pray you, in your mindes, from this day, and afore from the foure and twentieth day of the ninth moneth, euen from the day that the foundation of the Lords Temple was laide: consider it in your mindes.

⁸ I will hisse for them, and gather them: for I haue redeemed them: and they shall encrease, as they haue encreased. ⁹ And I will sowe them among the people, and they shall remember me in farre countreys: and they shall liue with their children and turne againe.

¹⁰ Bring ye all the tythes into the storehouse that there may be meate in mine House, and proue me nowe herewith, sayeth the Lord of hostes, if I will not open the windowes of heauen vnto you, and powre you out a blessing without measure.

³⁹ For the promise is made vnto you, and to your children, and to all that are a farre off, euen as many as the Lord our God shall call.

²⁵ Ye are the children of the Prophets, and of the couenant, which God hath made vnto our fathers, saying to Abraham, Euen in thy seede shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. ²⁶ First vnto you hath God raysed vp his Sonne Iesus, and him hee hath sent to blesse you, in turning euery one of you from your iniquities.

¹⁶ Therefore it is by faith, that it might come by grace, and the promise might be sure to all the seede, not to that onely which is of the Lawe: but also to that which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of vs all,

⁷ Neither are they all children, because they are the seede of Abraham: but, In Isaac shall thy seede be called: ⁸ That is, they which are the children of the flesh, are not the children of God: but the children of the promise, are counted for the seede.

⁵⁸ Therefore my beloued brethren, be ye stedfast, vnmoueable, aboundant alwayes in the worke of the Lord, forasmuch as ye knowe that your labour is not in vaine in the Lord.

²⁹ And if ye be Christes, then are ye Abrahams seede, and heires by promise.
