²⁴ But if the righteous turne away from his righteousnes, and commit iniquitie, and doe according to all the abominations, that the wicked man doeth, shall he liue? all his righteousnes that he hath done, shall not be mentioned: but in his transgression that he hath committed, and in his sinne that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

¹¹ It repenteth me that I haue made Saul King: for he is turned from me, and hath not performed my commandements. And Samuel was mooued, and cryed vnto the Lord all night.

² And Ioash did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, all the dayes of Iehoiada the Priest.

And when he dyed, he sayd, The Lord looke vpon it, and require it.

³ The wordes of his mouth are iniquitie and deceit: hee hath left off to vnderstand and to doe good. ⁴ Hee imagineth mischiefe vpon his bed: he setteth himselfe vpon a way, that is not good, and doeth not abhorre euill.

⁵ But these that turne aside by their crooked wayes, them shall the Lord leade with the workers of iniquitie: but peace shalbe vpon Israel.

³² The wicked shall be cast away for his malice: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

¹⁶ A man that wandreth out of the way of wisdome, shall remaine in the congregation of the dead.

²⁰ Likewise if a righteous man turne from his righteousnesse, and commit iniquitie, I will lay a stumbling blocke before him, and he shall die, because thou hast not giuen him warning: he shall die in his sinne, and his righteous deedes, which he hath done, shall not be remembred: but his blood will I require at thine hand. ²¹ Neuerthelesse, if thou admonish that righteous man, that the righteous sinne not, and that he doeth not sinne, he shall liue because he is admonished: also thou hast deliuered thy soule.

¹⁰ If he beget a sonne, that is a thiefe, or a sheader of blood, if he do any one of these things, ¹¹ Though he doe not all these things, but either hath eaten vpon the mountaines, or defiled his neighbours wife, ¹² Or hath oppressed the poore and needy, or hath spoyled by violence, or hath not restored the pledge, or hath lift vp his eyes vnto the idoles, or hath committed abomination, ¹³ Or hath giuen forth vpon vsurie, or hath taken increase, shall he liue? he shall not liue: seeing he hath done all these abominations, he shall die the death, and his blood shall be vpon him.

¹⁸ His father, because he cruelly oppressed and spoyled his brother by violence, and hath not done good among his people, loe, euen he dyeth in his iniquitie.

²⁷ Therefore, sonne of man, speake vnto the house of Israel, and say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Yet in this your fathers haue blasphemed me, though they had before grieuously transgressed against me.

¹² Therefore thou sonne of man, saye vnto the children of thy people, The righteousnesse of the righteous shall not deliuer him in the day of his transgression, nor the wickednesse of the wicked shall cause him to fall therein, in the day that he returneth from his wickednesse, neither shall the righteous liue for his righteousnesse in the day that he sinneth. ¹³ When I shall say vnto the righteous, that he shall surely liue, if he trust to his owne righteousnes, and commit iniquitie, all his righteousnes shall be no more remembred, but for his iniquitie that he hath committed, he shall die for the same.

¹⁸ When the righteous turneth from his righteousnesse, and committeth iniquitie, he shall euen die thereby.

⁶ And them that are turned backe from the Lord, and those that haue not sought the Lord, nor inquired for him.

²² Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, haue we not by thy Name prophecied? and by thy name cast out deuils? and by thy name done many great workes? ²³ And then will I professe to them, I neuer knewe you: depart from me, ye that worke iniquitie.

⁴³ Nowe when the vncleane spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh throughout drie places, seeking rest, and findeth none. ⁴⁴ Then he saith, I wil returne into mine house from whence I came: and when he is come, he findeth it emptie, swept and garnished. ⁴⁵ Then he goeth, and taketh vnto him seuen other spirites worse then himselfe, and they enter in, and dwell there: and the ende of that man is worse then the beginning. Euen so shall it be with this wicked generation.

²⁰ And hee that receiued seede in the stonie grounde, is he which heareth the woorde, and incontinently with ioy receiueth it, ²¹ Yet hath he no roote in himselfe, and dureth but a season: for assoone as tribulation or persecution commeth because of the woorde, by and by he is offended.

¹³ And ye shall be hated of all men for my Names sake: but whosoeuer shall endure vnto the end, he shalbe saued.

⁶⁶ From that time, many of his disciples went backe, and walked no more with him. ⁶⁷ Then sayde Iesus to the twelue, Will yee also goe away? ⁶⁸ Then Simon Peter answered him, Master, to whome shall we goe? thou hast the wordes of eternall life: ⁶⁹ And we beleeue and knowe that thou art that Christ that Sonne of the liuing God. ⁷⁰ Iesus answered them, Haue not I chosen you twelue, and one of you is a deuill?

²¹ Then saide Iesus againe vnto them, I goe my way, and ye shall seeke me, and shall die in your sinnes, Whither I goe, can ye not come.

²⁴ I said therefore vnto you, That ye shall die in your sinnes: for except ye beleeue, that I am he, ye shall die in your sinnes.

²⁸ For as they regarded not to acknowledge God, euen so God deliuered them vp vnto a reprobate minde, to doe those things which are not conuenient, ²⁹ Being full of all vnrighteousnesse, fornication, wickednes, couetousnes, maliciousnes, full of enuie, of murder, of debate, of deceit, taking all things in the euill part, whisperers, ³⁰ Backbiters, haters of God, doers of wrong, proude, boasters, inuenters of euil things, disobedient to parents, without vnderstanding, couenant breakers, without naturall affection, such as can neuer be appeased, mercilesse. ³¹ Which men, though they knew ye Lawe of God, how that they which comit such things are worthie of death, yet not onely do the same, but also fauour them that doe them.

²⁰ For I feare least when I come, I shall not finde you such as I would: and that I shalbe found vnto you such as ye woulde not, and least there be strife, enuying, wrath, contentions, backebitings, whisperings, swellings and discord. ²¹ I feare least when I come againe, my God abase me among you, and I shall bewaile many of them which haue sinned already, and haue not repented of the vncleannesse, and fornication, and wantonnesse which they haue committed.

⁴ Haue ye suffered so many things in vaine? if so be it be euen in vaine.

⁷ Ye did runne well: who did let you, that ye did not obey the trueth?

¹ This knowe also, that in the last dayes shall come perilous times. ² For men shalbe louers of their owne selues, couetous, boasters, proud, cursed speakers, disobedient to parents, vnthankefull, vnholy, ³ Without naturall affection, truce breakers, false accusers, intemperate, fierce, no louers at all of them which are good, ⁴ Traitours, headie, high minded, louers of pleasures more then louers of God, ⁵ Hauing a shewe of godlinesse, but haue denied the power thereof: turne away therefore from such.

⁴ For it is impossible that they which were once lightened, and haue tasted of the heauenly gift, and were made partakers of the holy Ghost, ⁵ And haue tasted of the good word of God, and of the powers of the world to come, ⁶ If they fal away, should be renued againe by repentance: seeing they crucifie againe to themselues the Sonne of God, and make a mocke of him.

²⁶ For if we sinne willingly after that we haue receiued and acknowledged that trueth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sinnes, ²⁷ But a fearefull looking for of iudgement, and violent fire, which shall deuoure the aduersaries. ²⁸ He that despiseth Moses Law, dieth without mercy vnder two, or three witnesses: ²⁹ Of howe much sorer punishment suppose ye shall hee be worthy, which treadeth vnder foote the Sonne of God, and counteth the blood of the Testament as an vnholy thing, wherewith he was sanctified, and doeth despite the Spirit of grace? ³⁰ For we know him that hath sayd, Vengeance belongeth vnto mee: I will recompense, saith the Lord. And againe, The Lord shall iudge his people. ³¹ It is a fearefull thing to fall into the hands of the liuing God.

³⁸ Nowe the iust shall liue by faith: but if any withdrawe himselfe, my soule shall haue no pleasure in him. ³⁹ But we are not they which withdrawe our selues vnto perdition, but follow faith vnto the conseruation of the soule.

¹⁸ For in speaking swelling wordes of vanitie, they beguile with wantonnesse through the lusts of the flesh them that were cleane escaped from them which are wrapped in errour, ¹⁹ Promising vnto them libertie, and are themselues the seruants of corruption: for of whomsoeuer a man is ouercome, euen vnto the same is he in bondage. ²⁰ For if they, after they haue escaped from the filthinesse of the world, through the acknowledging of the Lord, and of the Sauiour Iesus Christ, are yet tangled againe therein, and ouercome, the latter ende is worse with them then the beginning. ²¹ For it had bene better for them, not to haue acknowledged the way of righteousnes, then after they haue acknowledged it, to turne from the holy commandement giuen vnto them. ²² But it is come vnto them, according to the true Prouerbe, The dogge is returned to his owne vomit: and, The sowe that was washed, to the wallowing in the myre.

¹⁹ They went out from vs, but they were not of vs: for if they had bene of vs, they should haue continued with vs. But this cometh to passe, that it might appeare, that they are not all of vs.

¹⁶ If any man see his brother sinne a sinne that is not vnto death, let him aske, and he shall giue him life for them that sinne not vnto death. There is a sinne vnto death: I say not that thou shouldest pray for it. ¹⁷ All vnrighteousnesse is sinne, but there is a sinne not vnto death. ¹⁸ We know that whosoeuer is borne of God, sinneth not: but he that is begotten of God, keepeth himselfe, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

⁸ Looke to your selues, that we lose not the things which we haue done, but that we may receiue full reward.

¹² These are rockes in your feasts of charitie when they feast with you, without al feare, feeding themselues: cloudes they are without water, caried about of windes, corrupt trees and without fruit, twise dead, and plucked vp by ye rootes.

¹⁰ Feare none of those things, which thou shalt suffer: beholde, it shall come to passe, that the deuill shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tryed, and ye shall haue tribulation tenne dayes: be thou faithfull vnto the death, and I will giue thee the crowne of life.

¹¹ Beholde, I come shortly: holde that which thou hast, that no man take thy crowne.
