⁴ And say, Where is the promise of his comming? for since the fathers died, all things continue alike from the beginning of the creation.

¹⁴ Then Lot went out and spake vnto his sonnes in lawe, which maried his daughters, and said, Arise, get you out of this place: for the Lord will destroy the citie: but he seemed to his sonnes in lawe as though he had mocked.

⁹ What is it that hath bene? that that shalbe: and what is it that hath bene done? that which shalbe done: and there is no newe thing vnder the sunne.

¹¹ Because sentence against an euill worke is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the children of men is fully set in them to doe euill.

¹⁸ Woe vnto them, that draw iniquitie with cordes of vanitie, and sinne, as with cart ropes: ¹⁹ Which say, Let him make speede: let him hasten his worke, that wee may see it: and let the counsell of the holy one of Israel draw neere and come, that we may knowe it.

¹² They haue denied the Lord, and saide, It is not he, neither shall the plague come vpon vs, neither shall we see sworde nor famine. ¹³ And the Prophetes shall be as winde, and the worde is not in them: thus shall it come vnto them.

¹⁵ Behold, they say vnto me, Where is the word of the Lord? let it come nowe.

³ For they say, It is not neere, let vs builde houses: this citie is the caldron, and wee be the flesh.

²² Sonne of man, what is that prouerbe that you haue in the land of Israel, saying, The dayes are prolonged and all visions faile? ²³ Tell them therefore, Thus sayeth the Lord God, I wil make this prouerbe to cease, and they shall no more vse it as a prouerbe in Israel: but say vnto them, The daies are at hand and the effect of euery vision. ²⁴ For no vision shall be any more in vaine, neither shall there bee any flattering diuination within the house of Israel. ²⁵ For I am the Lord: I wil speake, and that thing that I shall speake, shall come to passe: it shall be no more prolonged: for in your dayes, O rebellious house, will I saye the thing, and will performe it, sayeth the Lord God. ²⁶ Againe the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying, ²⁷ Sonne of man, beholde, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that hee seeth, is for many dayes to come, and he prophecieth of the times that are farre off.

¹⁷ Yee haue wearied the Lord with your woordes: yet yee say, Wherein haue we wearied him? When ye say, Euery one that doeth euill, is good in the sight of the Lord, and he deliteth in them. Or where is the God of iudgement?

²⁸ For wheresoeuer a dead carkeis is, thither will the Egles be gathered together.

⁴⁸ But if that euil seruant shall say in his heart, My master doth deferre his comming,

⁶ But at the beginning of the creation God made them male and female:

¹⁹ For those dayes shalbe such tribulation, as was not from the beginning of ye creation which God created vnto this time, neither shalbe.

⁴⁵ But if that seruant say in his heart, My master doeth deferre his comming, and ginne to smite the seruants, and maydens, and to eate, and drinke, and to be drunken,

¹⁹ For what is our hope or ioye, or crowne of reioycing? are not euen you it in the presence of our Lord Iesus Christ at his comming?

¹⁴ And vnto the Angell of the Church of the Laodiceans write, These things saieth Amen, the faithfull and true witnesse, that beginning of the creatures of God.
