² According to your knowledge I also know: neither am I inferior to you.

³ I also have a heart as well as you: for who is ignorant of these things, which you know?

⁸ Hast thou heard God's counsel, and shall his wisdom be inferior to thee? ⁹ What knowest thou that we are ignorant of? what dost thou understand that we know not?

³⁵ But Job hath spoken foolishly, and his words sound not discipline.

¹⁶ Therefore Job openeth his mouth in vain, and multiplieth words without knowledge.

² Hear ye attentively the terror of his voice, and the sound that cometh out of his mouth.

^{4 (39:34)} What can I answer, who hath spoken inconsiderately? I will lay my hand upon my mouth. ^{5 (39:35)} One thing I have spoken, which I wish I had not said: and another, to which I will add no more.

⁷ And after the Lord had spoken these words to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Themanite: My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends, because you have not spoken the thing that is right before me, as my servant Job hath.

¹ Now concerning those things that are sacrificed to idols: we know we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up: but charity edifieth. ² And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he hath not yet known as he ought to know.

⁴ For if he that cometh preacheth another Christ, whom we have not preached; or if you receive another Spirit, whom you have not received; or another gospel, which you have not received: you might well bear with him. ⁵ For I suppose that I have done nothing less than the great apostles.

¹⁶ I say again (Let no man think me to be foolish: otherwise take me as one foolish, that I also may glory a little): ¹⁷ That which I speak, I speak not according to God: but as it were in foolishness, in this matter of glorying. ¹⁸ Seeing that many glory according to the flesh, I will glory also.

¹¹ I am become foolish. You have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended by you. For I have no way come short of them that are above measure apostles, although I be nothing.
