⁵ You that sing to the sound of the psaltery: they have thought themselves to have instruments of music like David;

²⁷ Why wouldst thou run away privately, and not acquaint me, that I might have brought thee on the way with joy, and with songs, and with timbrels, and with harps?

¹⁶ And David spoke to the chiefs of the Levites, to appoint some of their brethren to be singers with musical instruments, to wit, on psalteries, and harps, and cymbals, that the joyful noise might resound on high.

⁵ Moreover four thousand were porters: and as many singers singing to the Lord with the instruments, which he had made to sing with.

¹¹ Their little ones go out like a flock, and their children dance and play. ¹² They take the timbrel, and the harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.

²³ Take away from me the tumult of thy songs: and I will not hear the canticles of thy harp.

³ And the hinges of the temple shall screak in that day, saith the Lord God: many shall die: silence shall be cast in every place.

³ For the time past is sufficient to have fulfilled the will of the Gentiles, for them who have walked in riotousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings and unlawful worshipping of idols.

²² And the voice of harpers and of musicians and of them that play on the pipe and on the trumpet shall no more be heard at all in thee: and no craftsman of any art whatsoever shall be found any more at all in thee: and the sound of the mill shall be heard no more at all in thee:
