⁷ Be not wyse in thine owne conceate, but feare ye LORDE and departe from euell:

³ A wyse man seyth the plage and hydeth himself, but the foolish go on still and are punyshed.

¹⁴ Well is him that stodeth allwaye in awe: as for him that hardeneth his herte, he shal fall in to mischefe.

⁹ Yf a wyse man go to lawe with a foole (whether he deale with him frendly or roughly) he getteth no rest.

¹³ The begynnynge of his talkynge is foolishnes, and the last worde of his mouth is greate madnesse.
