²⁶ Lift up your eyes on high, and see, who has displayed all these things? even he that brings forth his host by number: he shall call them all by name by means of his great glory, and by the power of his might: nothing has escaped thee.

¹ And the heavens and the earth were finished, and the whole world of them. ² And God finished on the sixth day his works which he made, and he ceased on the seventh day from all his works which he made.

¹⁹ and lest having looked up to the sky, and having seen the sun and the moon and the stars, and all the heavenly bodies, thou shouldest go astray and worship them, and serve them, which the Lord thy God has distributed to all the nations under heaven.

²⁶ (do we not see the shining sun eclipsed, and the moon waning? for they have not power to continue:) ²⁷ and if my heart was secretly deceived, and if I have laid my hand upon my mouth and kissed it: ²⁸ let this also then be reckoned to me as the greatest iniquity: for I should have lied against the Lord Most High.

³ For I will regard the heavens, the work of thy fingers; the moon and stars, which thou hast established. ⁴ What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

⁷ I am he that prepared light, and formed darkness; who make peace, and create evil; I am the Lord God, that does all these things.

¹³ My hand also has founded the earth, and my right hand has fixed the sky: I will call them, and they shall stand together.

⁶ Lift up your eyes to the sky, and look on the earth beneath: for the sky was darkened like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and the inhabitants shall die in like manner: but my righteousness shall not fail.

¹¹ Thus shall ye say to them, Let the gods which have not made heaven and earth perish from off the earth, and from under this sky. ¹² It is the Lord that made the earth by his strength, who set up the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the sky,
