²² But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

²¹ Not every one that says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father who is in heaven. ²² Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, and in thy name cast out demons, and in thy name done many mighty works? ²³ And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity. ²⁴ Therefore, whoever hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on the rock: ²⁵ and the rain descended, and the torrents came, and the winds blew, and they beat against that house, and it fell not: for it was founded on the rock. ²⁶ And every one that hears these words of mine, and does them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. ²⁷ And the rain descended, and the torrents came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell: and great was its fall.

⁵⁰ For whoever will do the will of my Father who is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: and lo; I am with you all the days, even to the end of the age.

⁴⁶ But why call me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I command? ⁴⁷ Every one that comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like. ⁴⁸ He is like a man that, when building a house, digged deep, and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the torrent dashed against that house, and it was not able to shake it, for it was founded on the rock.

²⁸ And he said: Yes, rather blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

⁴⁷ And that servant who knew his lord's will, but made no preparation, nor did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes; ⁴⁸ but he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few. To whomever much has been given, of him shall much be required; and to whom men have intrusted much, of him will they ask the more.

¹⁷ If you know these things, blessed are you, if you do them.

¹³ in the day when God shall judge the secret works of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.

¹⁸ Let no one deceive himself: if any one among you is considered as wise in this age, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

⁹ Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived; neither lewd persons, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor catamites, nor sodomites,

³³ Be not deceived: Evil communications corrupt good manners.

³ For if any one think himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself:

⁷ Be not deceived; God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that also shall he reap.

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, or any praise, think of these things.

¹⁷ And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

¹³ But evil men and impostors will become worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

³ For we ourselves also were formerly foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one an other.

²⁶ If any one among you seems to be religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

¹⁴ What profit is there, my brethren, if any one say he has faith, and have not works? Can faith save him? ¹⁵ If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, ¹⁶ and any of you say to them, Go in peace, be warmed and be filled, and yet give them not the things that are needful for the body, what does this profit them? ¹⁷ So, also, faith, if it has not works, is dead, being by itself. ¹⁸ But some one will say, You have faith, and I have works; show me your faith by your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. ¹⁹ You believe that there is one God; you do well: the demons also believe, and tremble. ²⁰ But will you know, vain man, that faith without works is dead?

¹⁷ Therefore, to him that knows how to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.

¹³ and receive the reward of unrighteousness. Counting it a pleasure to riot in the day-time, they are spots and stains, rioting in their delusions, while feasting with you;

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

³ And by this we know that we do know him, if we keep his commandments.

⁷ Little children, let no one deceive you: he that works righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

¹¹ Beloved, do not imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: he that does evil has not seen God.

⁹ And the great dragon, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world, was cast into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

⁷ And behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.
