² whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom, also, he made the ages;

¹⁷ And lo, a voice from heaven, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight.

⁵ While he was yet speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and lo, a voice from the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight; hear him.

³⁸ But the vine-dressers, when they saw the son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and seize upon the inheritance.

⁶³ But Jesus remained silent. And the chief priest answered and said to him: I adjure you, by the living God, that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God?

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying: All authority in heaven and on earth is given to me.

¹ THE beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

⁶ Therefore, having yet one son, his beloved, he sent him also to them last, saying, They will reverence my son.

³ All things were made by him, and without him not one thing was made that now exists.

¹⁴ And the "WORD became flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and of truth.

¹⁷ for the law was given through Moses, but the grace and the truth came through Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has revealed him.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes on him should not perish, but have eternal life.

²⁵ There arose, therefore, a dispute between some of John's disciples and a Jew, about purification.

³ Jesus, knowing that the Father had delivered all things into his hands, and that he had come from God, and was going to God,

¹⁵ I no longer call you servants, because the servant knows not what his master does. But I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.

¹⁵ All things that the Father has are mine; for this reason I said, that he will take of mine, and show it to you.

² as thou hast given him authority over all flesh, that he may give eternal life to all that thou hast given him.

¹⁷ And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

³⁶ The word which he sent to the sons of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ, (he is Lord of all,)

⁴ but declared to be the Son of God with power, according to his holy spiritual nature, by his resurrection from the dead,

¹⁷ and, if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified together.

⁶ yet to us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

²⁵ for he must reign till he has put all enemies under his feet. ²⁶ The last enemy, Death, shall be destroyed. ²⁷ For he has put all things under his feet. But when the scripture says, that all things are put under him, it is evident that he is excepted, who did put all things under him.

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

¹⁰ for a dispensation at the fullness of the times, in order that he might bring together for himself all things in the Christ, both those which are in the heavens, and those which are on earth;

²⁰ which he made active in the Christ when he raised him from the dead, and caused him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ high above every principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come; ²² and subjected all things under his feet, and made him head over all things for the church, ²³ which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all his members with all things,

⁹ and enlighten all men with respect to the plan of the mystery, which was concealed from the ages in God, who created all things;

⁹ For which reason God has highly exalted him, and, also, bestowed on him a name that is above every name; ¹⁰ that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow of those who are in heaven, and those who are on earth, and those who are under the earth; ¹¹ and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

¹⁶ for by him were all things created, things in heaven and things in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or lordships, or principalities, or authorities; all things were created by him, and for him: ¹⁷ and he is before all things, and by him all things consist: ¹⁸ and he is the head of the body, the church: and he is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that in all things he might be preeminent;

⁵ For to which of the angels did he at any time say: Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again: I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

⁸ But to the Son: Thy throne, God, is from age to age: a scepter of rectitude is the scepter of thy kingdom.

³ how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation? which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard him;

⁸ thou hast put all things under his feet. For, in putting all things under him, he left nothing that is not put under him: but now we do not yet see all things put under him. ⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, that he might, by the grace of God, taste death for every man- we see him, on account of his having suffered death, crowned with glory and honor.

⁸ although he was a Son, he yet learned obedience from the things which he suffered;

³ without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life, but being made to resemble the Son of God, remains a priest forever.

²⁶ for then, he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once in the end of the ages, he has appeared in order to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

³ By faith we understand that the ages were set in order by the word of God, so that the things which are seen, have not come into being from things that appear.

²⁰ who was indeed foreordained before the foundation of the world, but manifested in these last times for you,

³ knowing this first, that there will come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

¹⁸ that they said to you, There should come, in the last days, scoffers walking according to their own ungodly desires.
