²² And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, those days shall be shortened.

⁴⁴ Therefore be ye also ready: for at an hour ye think not, the Son of man cometh.

³⁶ Watch ye therefore and pray always, that ye may be counted worthy to escape all these things which will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

³⁰ The times of ignorance indeed God overlooked; but he now commandeth all men every where to repent. ³¹ Because he hath appointed a day, in which he will judge the world righteously, by the man whom he hath ordained, whereof he hath given assurance to all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

⁷ By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his houshold, by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

⁴ And he shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall sorrow, or crying, or pain, be any more; because the former things are gone away.

¹⁵ And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream.

²⁷ They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, till the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

²⁶ And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the son of man.

²⁰ Who some time disbelieved, when the long-suffering of God waited in the Days of Noah, while the ark was preparing, wherein few, that is, eight persons were saved through the water:

⁵ to be reserved to judgment, And spared not the old world, (but he saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness) bringing a flood on the world of the ungodly;
