²⁵ Therefore I say to you, Do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

⁶ Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: ⁷ Casting all your anxiety upon him; for he cares for you.

²⁷ Which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to the span of his life?

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose.

⁶ Be anxious about nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

²⁷ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they do not toil, nor do they spin: ²⁹ And yet I say to you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. ³⁰ Therefore, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O men of little faith? ³¹ Therefore, do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, With what shall we be clothed? ³² After all these things the Gentiles seek: but your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. ³³ But seek first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. ³⁴ Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow shall be anxious for itself. Sufficient for each day are the troubles of its own.
