²⁶ The king was very vexed, but for the sake of his oaths and his guests he did not like to disappoint her;

¹⁰ Now is that 'appealing to the interests of men' or of God? Trying to 'satisfy men'? Why, if I still tried to give satisfaction to human masters, I would be no servant of Christ.

¹ Welcome a man of weak faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on his scruples.
