1 John 2:1-29

1 My lytle chyldren, these thinges wryte I vnto you, that ye sinne not, yf anye man synne, yet we haue an aduocate with the father, Iesus Christe, whiche is rightuouse, 2 and he it is that obtayned grace for our sinnes, not for oure sinnes onelye, but also for the synnes of al the worlde. 3 And herby we are sure that we knowe him, yf we kepe his commaundementes. 4 He that sayth I knowe him, and kepeth not his commaundementes, is a liar, and the veritie is not in him. 5 Whosoeuer kepeth his worde, in him is the loue of God, perfecte in dede. And there by knowe we that we are in him. 6 He that sayeth he abydeth in him ought to walke euen as he walked. 7 Brethren I wryte no newe commaundemente vnto you, but that olde commaundemente, which ye hearde from the beginning. 8 The olde commandement is the word, which ye heard from the beginninge. Againe a new commaundement I write vnto you, a thinge that is true in him, and also in you, for the darkenes is past, and the true light now shineth. 9 He that sayeth how that he is in the light, and yet hateth his brother, is in dackenes euen vntill this tyme. 10 He that loueth his brother, abideth in the lyghte, and there is none occasion of euill in him. 11 He that hateth his brother, is in darckenes and walketh in darckenes, and can not tell whether he goeth, because that darckenes hath blinded his eyes. 12 Babes I wryte vnto you, how that youre sinnes are forgeuen you for his names sake. 13 I wryte vnto you fathers, how that ye know him, that was from the beginninge. I wryte vnto you yong men, how that ye haue ouercome the wicked. I write to you lytel children, howe that ye knowe the father, 14 I wryte vnto you fathers, how that ye knowe him, that was from the beginninge. I wryte vnto you young men, how that ye are stronge and the word of God abyeth in you, & ye haue ouercome that wycked. 15 Se that ye loue not the world, neyther the thynges that are in the worlde. Yf anye man loue the worlde the loue of the father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world (as the luste of the fleshe, the lust of the eyes, and the pryde of goodes) is not of the father, but of the world. 17 And the world vanysheth away, and the lust therof, but he that fulfilleth the will of God, abideth euer. 18 Litel chyldren, it is the last time, and as ye haue hearde how that Antichriste shall come, euen nowe are there many Antichristes come alredye. Wherby we knowe that it is the last tyme. 19 They went out from vs, but they were not of vs. For yf they had bene of vs: they woulde no doubte, haue continued wyth vs. But that fortuned, that it myghte appeare, that they were not of vs. 20 And ye haue an oyntment of the holye ghost and ye knowe all thinges. 21 I wrote not vnto you, as though ye knewe not the trueth, but as though ye knewe it, and knowe also that no lye commeth of trueth. 22 Who is a liar but he that denyeth that Iesus is Christ? The same is the Antechrist that denyeth the father and the sonne. 23 Whosoeuer denyeth the sonne, the same hath not the father. 24 Let therfore abyde in you that same, whiche ye hearde from the beginninge, shall remaine in you, ye also shal continue in the sonne, and in the father. 25 And this is the promes, that he hath promysed vs euen eternal lyfe. 26 This haue I written vnto you concerning them, that disceyue you. 27 And the anointinge, whiche ye haue receiued of him, dwelleth in you. And ye nede not that anye man teache you, but as the anointing teacheth you al thinges, and is true, and is no lye, & it is taught you, euen so byde therin. 28 And now babes abide in him, that when he shal appeare, we maye be bolde, and not be made ashamed of him at his comming: 29 If ye knowe that he is rightuous, knowe also that he whiche foloweth rightuousnes, is borne of hym.

Psalms 36:1-3

1 To the chaunter, of Dauid the seruaunt of the Lorde. My hert sheweth me the wickednesse of the vngodly, that there is no feare of God before hys eyes. 2 For he dissembleth before his face, so longe tyll hys abhominable sinne be founde out. 3 The woordes of hys mouth are vnrighteousnes and disceate, he will not be learned to do good.

Proverbs 4:16

16 For they can not slepe, except they haue first done some myschefe: neither take they anye rest, except they haue fyrst done some harme

Matthew 7:1-5

1 Ivdge not, that ye be not iudged. 2 For as ye iudge so, shall ye be iudged. And with what measur ye meate, with the same shal it be measured to you agayne. 3 Why seiste thou a moote in thy brothers eye, & perceyuest not the beame that is in thyne owne eye? 4 Or why saist thou to thy brother: suffer me to plucke out the moote out of thyne eye, & beholde a beame is in thyne owne eye? 5 Hypocrite, first caste out the beame out of thyne owne eye, and then shalte thou se clearelye to plucke out the moote out of thy brothers eye.

Titus 1:16

16 They confesse that they knowe God: but wyth the dedes they denye hym, and are abhomynable and dysobedient, and vnto all good workes discommendable.

Proverbs 18:12

12 After pryde commeth destruccion, and honour after lowlines.

Romans 16:17-19

17 I beseche you brethren, marke them which cause diuisyon, and geue occasyons of euyl, contrary to the doctryue which ye haue learned: and auoyd them. 18 For they that are such, serue not the Lorde Iesus Christ: but theyr owne bellyes, and with swete preachynges & flatterynge wordes deceyue the hertes of the innocentes. 19 For youre obedience extendeth to all men I am glad no doubte of you. But yet I woulde haue you wyse vnto that whiche is good, and to be innocent as concernyng euill.

Philippians 2:1-30

1 If there be amonge you anye consolation in Christ, yf there be anye comfortable loue, yf there be anye feloweshyp of spirite, yf there be any compassion or mercye, 2 fulfyll my ioye that ye drawe one waye hauinge one loue, being of one accorde, and of one minde, 3 that nothing be done thorowe stryfe or vaine glorye, but that in mekenes of mynde euerye man esteme other better then him selfe, 4 & that no man considere his owne, but what is meate for other. 5 Let the same mynde be in you that was in Christ Iesu: 6 Whiche beinge in the shap of God, and thought it not robbery to be equal wt God. 7 Neuerthelesse he made hym selfe of no reputation, & toke on him the shap of a seruaunt, and became lyke vnto men, 8 and was founde in hys aparell as a man. He humbled hym selfe, and became obediente vnto the death euen the death of the crosse. 9 Wherfore God hath exalted hym, and geuen hym a name aboue al names, 10 that in the name of Iesus should euerye knee bowe, both of thinges in heauen and thinges in earth, and thinges vnder the earth, 11 and that al tounges should confesse that Iesus Christ is the Lorde vnto the prayse of God the father. 12 Wherfore my dearlye beloued, as ye haue alwayes obeyed, not when I was presente onelye, but nowe much more in myne absence euen so worke out your owne saluacion wt feare and trembling. 13 For it is God, whyche worketh in you, both the wyll and also the dede, euen of good wyl. 14 Do al thinge wythout murmuringe and disputynge, 15 that ye maye be fauteles & pure, the sonnes of God wythout rebuke, in the middes of a croked and a peruerse nacyon, amonge whiche se that ye shine as lightes in the worlde, 16 holding fast the worde of life, vnto my reioysing in the daye of Christe, that I haue not runne in vayne, neyther haue laboured in vaine. 17 Yea, and though I be offered vp vpon the offeringe and sacrifyce of youre fayth: I reioyce, and reioyce wyth you al. 18 For the same cause also, reioyce ye, and reioyce ye wyth me. 19 I truste in the Lord Iesus for to sende Timotheus shortely vnto you, that I also maye be of good comforte, when I knowe what case ye stand in. 20 For I haue noman that is so lyke mynded to me, whiche with so pure affeccion careth for youre matters. 21 For al other seke theyr owne, and not that whiche is Iesus Christes. 22 Ye knowe the profe of hym, howe that as a sonne with the father, so with me bestowed he his laboure vpon the Gospel 23 Hym I hope to send assone as I knowe, howe it wyl go with me. 24 I truste in the Lord I also my selfe shal come shortly. 25 I supposed it necessarye to sende brother Epaphroditus vnto you, my companion in laboure and felow souldier, youre Apostle & my minister at my nedes. 26 For he lounged after you, and was full of heauines, because that ye had hearde saye, that he shoulde be sycke. 27 And no dout he was sicke, and that nye vnto death. But God had mercye on hym not on hym onely, but on me also, lest I should haue had sorowe vpon sorowe. 28 I sent him therfore the diligentliar, that when ye shoulde se hym, ye might reioyce againe, and I myght be the lesse sorowfull. 29 Receiue him therfore in the Lorde wyth al gladnes, and make muche of suche: 30 because that for the worke of Christ he went so farre, that he was nye vnto death, and regarded not hys lyfe, to fulfyll that seruice, whiche was lackinge on your part towarde me.

1 Peter 5:5-6

5 Lykewyse ye yonger submit youre selues vnto the elder. Submit youre selues euerye man, one to another, knyt youre selues together in lowlines of mynde. For God resisteth the proude & geueth grace to humble. 6 Submit youre selues therfore vnder the myghty hande of God, that he maye exalte you, when the tyme is come.

2 Timothy 3:1-7

1 Thys vnderstand, that in the last dayes shall come perylous tymes. 2 For the men shall be louers of theyr owne selues coueteous, bosters, proude, cursed speakers, dysobedyent to father and mother, vnthankefull, vnholye, 3 vnkynde, truce breakers, stubborne false accusars, ryatours, fierce despysers of them whiche are good, 4 traytours, headye, hye mynded, gredy vpon voluptuousnes more then the louers of God, 5 hauynge a simylytude of Godly lyuynge, but haue denyed the power thereof: and suche abhorre. 6 Of thys sorte are they which enter into houses, & bring into bondage women laden wyth synne which women are lede of dyuers lustes, 7 euer learnynge, and neuer able to come vnto the knowledge of the trueth.
