¹⁰ Euen I the Lorde search out the grounde of the herte, & trye the reynes, and rewarde euery man accordinge to hys wayes, and acordynge to the fruyte of his councels.

³ Why seiste thou a moote in thy brothers eye, & perceyuest not the beame that is in thyne owne eye? ⁴ Or why saist thou to thy brother: suffer me to plucke out the moote out of thyne eye, & beholde a beame is in thyne owne eye? ⁵ Hypocrite, first caste out the beame out of thyne owne eye, and then shalte thou se clearelye to plucke out the moote out of thy brothers eye.

⁴⁷ The seruaunt that knewe hys maysters wyl, and prepared not hym selfe, neyther dyd accordynge to his will, shalbe beaten with many strypes. ⁴⁸ But he that knewe not, & yet dyd commytte thynges worthye of strypes, shalbe beaten with fewe stripes. For vnto whome muche is geuen, of him shalbe muche requyred. And to whom men muche committe, the more of hym will they axe.

¹⁰ He that is faythfull in that whiche is least, the same is faythfull in muche. And he that is vnfaythfull in the least, is vnfaythfull also in muche. ¹¹ So then yf ye haue not ben faythfull in the wycked Mammon: who wyll beleue you in that which is true? ¹² And yf ye haue not bene faythfull in another mannes busynes, who shall geue you your owne?

⁹ Therfore two are better then one, for they may well enioy the profyt of their labour. ¹⁰ If one of them fall, hys companion helpeth hym vp agayn: But wo is hym that is alone, for if he fall, he hathe not another to helpe hym vp. ¹¹ Agayn, when two slepe together, they are warme: but how can a body be warme alone? ¹² One maye be ouercome, but two may make resistaunce: A three folde cable is not lightly broken. ¹³ neyther is there anye creature inuisible in the syght of him. For all thinges are naked and bare vnto the eyes of him, of whom we speake.

³⁶ But I say vnto you, that of euery idell worde that men shall haue spoken: they shall geue a countes at the daye of iudgement. ³⁷ For thy wordes thou shalt be iustified: & by thy wordes thou shalt be condemned.

¹⁷ Lyke as one yron whetteth another, so doth one man conforte another.

³ Take hede to youre selues. Yf thy brother trespasse agaynst the, rebuke hym,

¹¹ Wherfore comforte your selues together, and edifye one another, euen as ye do.

¹⁶ Knoweledge youre fautes one to another; and praye one for another, that ye maye be healed. The prayer of a ryghtuous man auayleth muche yf it be feruente.

¹² So shall euery one of vs, geue accomptes of hym selfe to GOD.

¹ Brethren, yf any man be fallen by chaunce into any faute: ye which are spyrytuall helpe to amende hym, in the spyryte of mekenes, consyderynge thy selfe leste thou also be tempted. ² Beare ye one anothers burthen, and so fulfyl the lawe of christ. ³ Yf anye man seme to hym selfe, that he is somwhat, when in dede he is nothynge the same deceyueth hym selfe in hys ymaginacyon. ⁴ Let euerye man proue hys owne worke, and then shall he haue reioysynge in hys owne selfe, & not in another. ⁵ For euery man shal beare his owne burthen.
