²⁰ And Noah began to be a husbandman. And he planted a vineyard. ²¹ And he drank of the wine and was drunk. And he was uncovered inside his tent. ²² And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside. ²³ And Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it upon both their shoulders. And they went backwards and covered the nakedness of their father. And their faces were backwards, and they did not see their father's nakedness. ²⁴ And Noah awoke from his wine, and came to know what his younger son had done to him. ²⁵ And he said, Cursed be Canaan. He shall be a servant of servants to his brothers. ²⁶ And he said, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Shem, and Canaan shall be his servant. ²⁷ God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem. And Canaan shall be their servant. ²⁸ And Noah lived three hundred and fifty years after the flood. ²⁹ And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years. And he died.

⁷ And the eyes of both of them were opened. And they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made girdles for themselves.

¹⁰ And he said, I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I am naked, and I hid myself. ¹¹ And He said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree which I commanded you that you should not eat?

²⁴ And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel, even he. And he lay down disrobed all that day and all that night. Because of this they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?

²¹ And he said, I came naked out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there. Jehovah gave, and Jehovah has taken away. Blessed be the name of Jehovah.

² at that time Jehovah spoke by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and take the sackcloth off your loins, and take your shoe off your foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot. ³ And Jehovah said, Just as My servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot three years, a sign and wonder on Egypt and on Ethiopia; ⁴ so shall the king of Assyria lead away Egypt's prisoners, and the Ethiopian exiles, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with uncovered buttocks, to the shame of Egypt.

⁷ Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, and that you should bring home the wandering poor? When will you see the naked and cover him; and you will not hide yourself from your own flesh?

¹⁵ Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is the one who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.

²¹ And for Adam and his wife Jehovah God made coats of skins, and clothed them.

¹⁰ They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaves from the hungry.

It is your father's nakedness. ⁹ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father or the daughter of your mother, born at home or born away. Their nakedness you shall not uncover. ¹⁰ The nakedness of your son's daughter, or of your daughter's daughter, you shall not uncover their nakedness. For theirs is your own nakedness. ¹¹ You shall not uncover the nakedness of the daughter of your father's wife, begotten of your father. She is your sister. ¹² You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's sister. She is your father's near kinswoman. ¹³ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister. For she is your mother's near kinswoman. ¹⁴ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's brother. You shall not approach his wife. She is your aunt. ¹⁵ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law. She is your son's wife. You shall not uncover her nakedness. ¹⁶ You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother's wife. It is your brother's nakedness. ¹⁷ You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shall you undertake to uncover her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter. They are her near kinswomen; it is wickedness. ¹⁸ And you shall not take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life. ¹⁹ Also you shall not approach to a woman to uncover her nakedness in the impurity of her uncleanness. ²⁰ And you shall not lie carnally with your neighbor's wife, to defile yourself with her. ²¹ And you shall not let any of your seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shall you profane the name of your God. I am Jehovah. ²² You shall not lie with mankind as with womankind. It is abomination to God. ²³ And you shall not lie with any animal to defile yourself with it. And a woman shall not stand before an animal to lie down to it. It is a perversion.

²⁶ And you shall not go up by steps to My altar, that your nakedness be not uncovered on it.

⁷ They lodge the naked without clothing, and give no covering in the cold.

¹ Come down, and sit on the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground. There is no throne for you, O daughter of the Chaldeans. For you shall no more be called tender and delicate. ² Take the millstones and grind meal. Push back your veil, draw up your skirt, uncover your leg, pass over the rivers. ³ Your nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, your shame shall be seen; I will take vengeance and I will not meet you as a man. ⁴ Our Redeemer, Jehovah of Hosts is His name, the Holy One of Israel. ⁵ Sit silent, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; for you shall no more be called the mistress of kingdoms. ⁶ I was angry with My people, I have polluted My inheritance, and given them into your hand. You showed them no mercy; you have very heavily laid your yoke on the aged. ⁷ And you said, I shall be a mistress forever; so you did not lay these things to your heart, nor remembered the latter end of it. ⁸ Now then hear this, O pleasure seeker, who lives carelessly; who says in her heart, I am, and none else is; I shall not sit as a widow, nor shall I know the loss of children. ⁹ But these two things shall come to you in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood. They shall come on you in their fullness for the multitude of your sorceries, and for the great power of your enchantments. ¹⁰ For you have trusted in your wickedness; you have said, No one sees me. Your wisdom and your knowledge, it has perverted you; and you have said in your heart, I am, and there is no one else. ¹¹ But evil shall come on you; you shall not know its origin. And mischief shall fall on you; you shall not be able to put it off. And desolation shall come on you suddenly, you shall not know. ¹² Stand now with your spells, and with the multitude of your sorceries, in which you have wearied yourself since your youth. Perhaps you will be able to profit; perhaps you may bring terror. ¹³ You are exhausted by your many plans; now let the astrologers stand up and save you, the stargazers, making known what is coming on you into the new moons. ¹⁴ Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame; there shall not be a coal to warm them; nor fire, to sit before it. ¹⁵ So they are to you with whom you labored, your merchants from your youth. Each one wanders to his own way; none shall save you.

²⁸ But I say to you that whoever looks on a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

²³ And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we put more abundant honor around them. And our unpresentable members have more abundant propriety.

⁴² And you shall make them linen breeches to cover the naked flesh; from the loins even to the thighs they shall reach.

⁹ In the same way also, I desire that women adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and sensibleness, not adorned with braiding, or gold, or pearls, or costly clothing,

²⁵ And they were both naked, the man and his wife; and they were not ashamed.
