²² Flee also yethful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

¹ Be you therefore followers of God, as dear children;

²³ Drink no longer only water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your often infirmities.

² That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

¹⁶ This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

¹³ For, brothers, you have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

⁴ You adulterers and adulteresses, do you not know that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

³ For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

² And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

¹³ Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in lewdness and wantonness, not in strife and envying. ¹⁴ But put you on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts of it.

¹⁰ For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

¹⁵ See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, ¹⁶ Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. ¹⁷ Therefore be you not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. ¹⁸ And be not drunk with wine, in which is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; ¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, ²⁰ Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, ²¹ Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
