³⁷ But let your communication be, Yes, yes; No, no: for whatsoever is more than these comes of evil.

³¹ And as you would that men should do to you, do you also to them likewise.

¹⁶ And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offense toward God, and toward men.

¹⁸ Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

¹⁰ For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: ¹¹ Let him shun evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. ¹² For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

⁸ Finally, brothers, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. ⁹ Those things, which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

⁹ Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds;

³² And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

²¹ Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
