¹² Ζῶν (Living is) γὰρ (for) ὁ (the) λόγος (word) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God), καὶ (and) ἐνεργὴς (active), καὶ (and) τομώτερος (sharper) ὑπὲρ (than) πᾶσαν (any) μάχαιραν (sword) δίστομον (two-edged), καὶ (even) διϊκνούμενος (penetrating) ἄχρι (as far as) μερισμοῦ (the division) ψυχῆς (of soul) καὶ (and) πνεύματος (spirit), ἁρμῶν (of joints) τε (and) καὶ (also) μυελῶν (marrows), καὶ (and) κριτικὸς (able to judge) ἐνθυμήσεων (the thoughts) καὶ (and) ἐννοιῶν (intentions) καρδίας (of the heart).

¹⁴ Εἰρήνην (Peace) διώκετε (pursue) μετὰ (with) πάντων (all), καὶ (and) τὸν (-) ἁγιασμόν (holiness), οὗ (which) χωρὶς (without) οὐδεὶς (no one) ὄψεται (will see) τὸν (the) Κύριον (Lord),

¹⁶ Οὐκ (Not) οἴδατε (know you) ὅτι (that) ναὸς (temple) Θεοῦ (of God) ἐστε (you yourselves are), καὶ (and) τὸ (the) Πνεῦμα (Spirit) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God) «ἐν (in) ὑμῖν» (you) οἰκεῖ (dwells)? ¹⁷ εἴ (If) τις (anyone) τὸν (the) ναὸν (temple) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God) φθείρει (destroys), φθερεῖ (will destroy) τοῦτον (him) ὁ (-) Θεός (God); ὁ (-) γὰρ (for) ναὸς (the temple) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God) ἅγιός (holy) ἐστιν (is), οἵτινές (which) ἐστε (are) ὑμεῖς (you).

¹⁵ ἀλλὰ (But) κατὰ (as) τὸν (the One) καλέσαντα (having called) ὑμᾶς (you) ἅγιον (is holy), καὶ (also) αὐτοὶ (yourselves) ἅγιοι (holy) ἐν (in) πάσῃ (all) ἀναστροφῇ (your conduct) γενήθητε (be), ¹⁶ διότι (because) γέγραπται (it has been written) ‹ὅτι› (-): “Ἅγιοι (Holy) ἔσεσθε (you shall be), ὅτι (because) ἐγὼ (I) ἅγιος (holy) [εἰμι] (am).”

¹⁶ διότι (because) γέγραπται (it has been written) ‹ὅτι› (-): “Ἅγιοι (Holy) ἔσεσθε (you shall be), ὅτι (because) ἐγὼ (I) ἅγιος (holy) [εἰμι] (am).”
