¹⁹ Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

²⁵ He leaning back, as he was, on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it? ²⁶ Jesus therefore answereth, He it is, for whom I shall dip the sop, and give it him. So when he had dipped the sop, he taketh and giveth it to Judas, [the son] of Simon Iscariot. ²⁷ And after the sop, then entered Satan into him. Jesus therefore saith unto him, What thou doest, do quickly. ²⁸ Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.

³⁸ And Peter [said] unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

⁴⁷ And that servant, who knew his lord's will, and made not ready, nor did according to his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes];

¹¹ and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;

³ Know ye that Jehovah, he is God:
It is he that hath made us, and we are his;
We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

²⁴ Because I have called, and ye have refused;
I have stretched out my hand, and no man hath regarded; ²⁵ But ye have set at nought all my counsel,
And would none of my reproof: ²⁶ I also will laugh in [the day of] your calamity;
I will mock when your fear cometh; ²⁷ When your fear cometh as a storm,
And your calamity cometh on as a whirlwind;
When distress and anguish come upon you. ²⁸ Then will they call upon me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently, but they shall not find me: ²⁹ For that they hated knowledge,
And did not choose the fear of Jehovah: ³⁰ They would none of my counsel;
They despised all my reproof. ³¹ Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way,
And be filled with their own devices. ³² For the backsliding of the simple shall slay them,
And the careless ease of fools shall destroy them. ³³ But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell securely,
And shall be quiet without fear of evil.

⁵ He that gathereth in summer is a wise son;
[But] he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

²⁰ The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.

¹² He said therefore, { A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. ¹³ And he called ten servants of his, and gave them ten pounds, and said unto them, Trade ye [herewith] till I come. ¹⁴ But his citizens hated him, and sent an ambassage after him, saying, We will not that this man reign over us. ¹⁵ And it came to pass, when he was come back again, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants, unto whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by trading. ¹⁶ And the first came before him, saying, Lord, thy pound hath made ten pounds more. ¹⁷ And he said unto him, Well done, thou good servant: because thou wast found faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. ¹⁸ And the second came, saying, Thy pound, Lord, hath made five pounds. ¹⁹ And he said unto him also, Be thou also over five cities. ²⁰ And another came, saying, Lord, behold, [here is] thy pound, which I kept laid up in a napkin: ²¹ for I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that which thou layedst not down, and reapest that which thou didst not sow. ²² He saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I am an austere man, taking up that which I laid not down, and reaping that which I did not sow; ²³ then wherefore gavest thou not my money into the bank, and I at my coming should have required it with interest? ²⁴ And he said unto them that stood by, Take away from him the pound, and give it unto him that hath the ten pounds. ²⁵ And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds. ²⁶ I say unto you, that unto every one that hath shall be given; but from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away from him. ²⁷ But these mine enemies, that would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.}

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

¹⁶ But he said unto him, { A certain man made a great supper; and he bade many: ¹⁷ and he sent forth his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for [all] things are now ready. ¹⁸ And they all with one [consent] began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a field, and I must needs go out and see it; I pray thee have me excused. ¹⁹ And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them; I pray thee have me excused. ²⁰ And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. ²¹ And the servant came, and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor and maimed and blind and lame. ²² And the servant said, Lord, what thou didst command is done, and yet there is room. ²³ And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and constrain [them] to come in, that my house may be filled. ²⁴ For I say unto you, that none of those men that were bidden shall taste of my supper.}

⁹ The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

¹⁶ redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

¹ { Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. ² And five of them were foolish, and five were wise. ³ For the foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them: ⁴ but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. ⁵ Now while the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. ⁶ But at midnight there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him. ⁷ Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. ⁸ And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are going out. ⁹ But the wise answered, saying, Peradventure there will not be enough for us and you: go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. ¹⁰ And while they went away to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage feast: and the door was shut. ¹¹ Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. ¹² But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. ¹³ Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour.
¹⁴ For [it is] as [when] a man, going into another country, called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. ¹⁵ And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his several ability; and he went on his journey. ¹⁶ Straightway he that received the five talents went and traded with them, and made other five talents. ¹⁷ In like manner he also that [received] the two gained other two. ¹⁸ But he that received the one went away and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. ¹⁹ Now after a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and maketh a reckoning with them. ²⁰ And he that received the five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: lo, I have gained other five talents. ²¹ His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord. ²² And he also that [received] the two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: lo, I have gained other two talents. ²³ His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord. ²⁴ And he also that had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou didst not sow, and gathering where thou didst not scatter; ²⁵ and I was afraid, and went away and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, thou hast thine own. ²⁶ But his lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I did not scatter; ²⁷ thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back mine own with interest. ²⁸ Take ye away therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him that hath the ten talents. ²⁹ For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away. ³⁰ And cast ye out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
³¹ But when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory: ³² and before him shall be gathered all the nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats; ³³ and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. ³⁴ Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: ³⁵ for I was hungry, and ye gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in; ³⁶ naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came unto me. ³⁷ Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or athirst, and gave thee drink? ³⁸ And when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? ³⁹ And when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? ⁴⁰ And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, [even] these least, ye did it unto me. ⁴¹ Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels: ⁴² for I was hungry, and ye did not give me to eat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink; ⁴³ I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. ⁴⁴ Then shall they also answer, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? ⁴⁵ Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not unto one of these least, ye did it not unto me. ⁴⁶ And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.}
