¹⁹ reckoning that even out of the dead God is able to raise up, whence also in a figure he did receive him .

⁴ On the third day—Abraham lifteth up his eyes, and seeth the place from afar; ⁵ and Abraham saith unto his young men, `Remain by yourselves here with the ass, and I and the youth go yonder and worship, and turn back unto you.'

¹³ And Abraham lifteth up his eyes, and looketh, and lo, a ram behind, seized in a thicket by its horns; and Abraham goeth, and taketh the ram, and causeth it to ascend for a burnt-offering instead of his son;

²⁸ And he having come to the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus saith to them, `Believe ye that I am able to do this?' They say to him, `Yes, sir.'

¹⁷ who is father of us all (according as it hath been written—`A father of many nations I have set thee,') before Him whom he did believe—God, who is quickening the dead, and is calling the things that be not as being. <sup>18</sup> Who, against hope in hope did believe, for his becoming father of many nations according to that spoken: `So shall thy seed be;' ¹⁹ and not having been weak in the faith, he did not consider his own body, already become dead, (being about a hundred years old,) and the deadness of Sarah's womb, ²⁰ and at the promise of God did not stagger in unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, having given glory to God, ²¹ and having been fully persuaded that what He hath promised He is able also to do:

¹⁴ but the death did reign from Adam till Moses, even upon those not having sinned in the likeness of Adam's transgression, who is a type of him who is coming.

²⁰ and to Him who is able above all things to do exceeding abundantly what we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us,

²⁴ for not into holy places made with hands did the Christ enter—figures of the true—but into the heaven itself, now to be manifested in the presence of God for us;

¹¹ By faith also Sarah herself did receive power to conceive seed, and she bare after the time of life, seeing she did judge Him faithful who did promise; ¹² wherefore, also from one were begotten—and that of one who had become dead—as the stars of the heaven in multitude, and as sand that is by the sea-shore—the innumerable.
