³ that by revelation He made known to me the secret, according as I wrote before in few words —

¹⁷ `And it came to pass when I returned to Jerusalem, and while I was praying in the temple, I came into a trance,

²¹ and he said unto me, Go, because to nations far off I will send thee.'

⁹ And there came a great cry, and the scribes of the Pharisees' part having arisen, were striving, saying, `No evil do we find in this man; and if a spirit spake to him, or a messenger, we may not fight against God;'

¹⁵ `And I said, Who art thou, Lord? and he said, I am Jesus whom thou dost persecute; <sup>16</sup> but rise, and stand upon thy feet, for for this I appeared to thee, to appoint thee an officer and a witness both of the things thou didst see, and of the things in which I will appear to thee, <sup>17</sup> delivering thee from the people, and the nations, to whom now I send thee, <sup>18</sup> to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of the Adversary unto God, for their receiving forgiveness of sins, and a lot among those having been sanctified, by faith that is toward me. <sup>19</sup> `Whereupon, king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,

²⁵ For I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, of this secret—that ye may not be wise in your own conceits—that hardness in part to Israel hath happened till the fulness of the nations may come in;

²⁵ And to Him who is able to establish you, according to my good news, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the secret, in the times of the ages having been kept silent,

⁹ but, according as it hath been written, `What eye did not see, and ear did not hear, and upon the heart of man came not up, what God did prepare for those loving Him—' ¹⁰ but to us did God reveal them through His Spirit, for the Spirit all things doth search, even the depths of God,

¹² for neither did I from man receive it, nor was I taught it, but through a revelation of Jesus Christ,

¹⁶ to reveal His Son in me, that I might proclaim him good news among the nations, immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood, ¹⁷ nor did I go up to Jerusalem unto those who were apostles before me, but I went away to Arabia, and again returned to Damascus, ¹⁸ then, after three years I went up to Jerusalem to enquire about Peter, and remained with him fifteen days, ¹⁹ and other of the apostles I did not see, except James, the brother of the Lord.

⁹ having made known to us the secret of His will, according to His good pleasure, that He purposed in Himself, ¹⁰ in regard to the dispensation of the fulness of the times, to bring into one the whole in the Christ, both the things in the heavens, and the things upon the earth—in him; ¹¹ in whom also we did obtain an inheritance, being foreordained according to the purpose of Him who the all things is working according to the counsel of His will,

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of the glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the recognition of him,

¹¹ Wherefore, remember, that ye were once the nations in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that called Circumcision in the flesh made by hands, ¹² that ye were at that time apart from Christ, having been alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, having no hope, and without God, in the world; ¹³ and now, in Christ Jesus, ye being once afar off became nigh in the blood of the Christ,
¹⁴ for he is our peace, who did make both one, and the middle wall of the enclosure did break down, ¹⁵ the enmity in his flesh, the law of the commands in ordinances having done away, that the two he might create in himself into one new man, making peace, ¹⁶ and might reconcile both in one body to God through the cross, having slain the enmity in it, ¹⁷ and having come, he did proclaim good news—peace to you—the far-off and the nigh, ¹⁸ because through him we have the access—we both—in one Spirit unto the Father. ¹⁹ Then, therefore, ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens of the saints, and of the household of God, ²⁰ being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being chief corner-stone, ²¹ in whom all the building fitly framed together doth increase to an holy sanctuary in the Lord, ²² in whom also ye are builded together, for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

⁴ in regard to which ye are able, reading it, to understand my knowledge in the secret of the Christ,

⁹ and to cause all to see what is the fellowship of the secret that hath been hid from the ages in God, who the all things did create by Jesus Christ,

²⁶ the secret that hath been hid from the ages and from the generations, but now was manifested to his saints, ²⁷ to whom God did will to make known what is the riches of the glory of this secret among the nations—which is Christ in you, the hope of the glory,
