⁴⁹ And as thei sayn hym wandrynge on the see, thei gessiden that it weren a fantum, and crieden out; ⁵⁰ for alle sayn hym, and thei weren afraied. And anoon he spak with hem, and seide to hem, Triste ye, Y am; nyle ye drede.

⁵ And whanne thei dredden, and boweden her semblaunt in to the erthe, thei seiden to hem, What seken ye hym that lyueth with deed men?

³⁷ But thei weren affraied and agast, and gessiden hem to se a spirit.
