¹⁴ Nevertheless ye did well in communicating to the relief of my affliction.

²¹ and his lord said to him, Well done, my good and trusty servant, thou hast been faithful in a few things, I will set thee over many, enter into thy master's joy.

²⁷ It pleased them, I say, and they are indeed their debtors; for if the Gentiles have partook of their spiritual things, they ought also to be helpful to them in carnal ones.

¹⁰ or doth He say this indeed for our sakes? For it is certainly written for our sakes, that he, who ploweth, might plow in hope; and that he, who thresheth in hope, should partake of his hope. ¹¹ If we then have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great matter if we reap your carnal things?

⁶ And let him, that is instructed in the word, communicate in all good things to him that instructeth.

⁷ As it is just for me to think this of you all, because ye have me in your heart, both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, being all of you partakers of the same grace with me.

¹⁸ And indeed I have it all, and now abound: I am fully supplied, having received of Epaphroditus the things sent by you, a fragrant odor, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.

¹⁸ to be rich in good works, to be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

³⁴ for ye sympathized with me in my bonds, and ye took joyfully the plundering of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

¹⁶ But to do good and to communicate forget not; for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

⁵ Beloved, thou actest faithfully in whatsoever service thou dost to the brethren, and to strangers too; ⁶ who have borne witness to thy love before the church: whom thou wilt do well in forwarding, as is worthy of God. ⁷ For they went forth for his name's sake, taking nothing of the gentiles. ⁸ We ought therefore to receive such, that we may become fellow-laborers in the truth. ⁹ I John, who am also your brother, and companion in the affliction, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the island called Patmos, for the sake of the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
