⁸ And the neighbors, and they that had seen him before, that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat begging?

⁴⁶ And they came to Jericho: and as He was going out of Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimeus, the son of Timeus, sat by the way-side begging.

²⁰ And there was a poor man named Lazarus, ²¹ who was laid at his gate full of sores, and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table: and the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass that the poor man died, ²² and was carried by angels to Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried.

³⁵ And as he was near to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way-side begging.

² And a certain man who had been lame from his birth was carried along; whom they laid every day at the gate of the temple, which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of those that were going into the temple: ³ who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked alms of them. ⁴ But Peter, and John, looking earnestly at him said, Look on us. ⁵ And he fixed his eyes upon them, expecting to receive something from them. ⁶ But Peter said, Silver and gold I have not; but what I have I give thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. ⁷ And taking him by the right hand, he raised him up: and immediately his feet and ancles were strengthened: ⁸ and leaping up he stood firm, and walked; and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. ⁹ And all the people saw him walking and praising God: ¹⁰ and knew that it was he who sat to ask for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with astonishment and extasy at what had befallen him. ¹¹ And as the lame man that was healed had hold of Peter and John, all the people being astonished ran together to them to the porch called Solomon's porch.
