³⁴ They answered, and said unto him, Thou wast wholly born in sins, and dost thou teach us?

¹⁷ And if he disregard them, tell it to the church: but if he disregard the church too, let him be unto thee as an heathen and a publican. ¹⁸ Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth, shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven.

²² Blessed are ye when men shall hate you, and reject you, and reproach you, and cast out your name as infamous on account of the Son of man.

⁴⁵ And one of the doctors of the law answered and said unto Him, Master, in saying these things thou reproachest us also.

¹¹ for whosoever exalteth himself shall be humbled, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

¹⁰ Two men went up to the temple to pray; the one a pharisee and the other a publican. ¹¹ The pharisee standing by himself prayed thus, O God, I thank thee that I am not as other men are, rapacious, unjust, adulterous, or even as this publican. ¹² I fast twice a week, and I give tithes of all that I possess. ¹³ But the publican standing at a distance did not presume so much as to lift up his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, O God, be merciful to me a sinner. ¹⁴ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for whoever exalteth himself shall be abased, but he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

¹⁷ Verily I tell you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall by no means enter into it.

³⁷ All that the Father giveth me, will come unto me; and him that cometh to me I will not cast out.

⁴⁸ have any of the rulers believed on Him, or of the pharisees? ⁴⁹ but these people, who know not the law, are cursed.

⁴¹ But ye do the works of your father. Then said they unto Him, We are not born of fornication, we have one Father, even God.

² And his disciples asked Him, saying, Master, who sinned? this man or his parents? that he was born blind.

²² These things said his parents, because they were afraid of the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed, that if any one confessed Him to be Christ, he should be turned out of the synagogue.

³⁵ And they cast him out. Now Jesus heard that they had turned him out of the synagogue; and when He met him, He said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

⁴⁰ And some of the pharisees who were present, heard these words, and said to Him, Are we blind also?

⁴ when ye are assembled together with my spirit, by the power, I say, ⁵ of our Lord Jesus Christ, to deliver such a one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Your boasting is not good.

¹³ But those who are without, God judgeth: and therefore put away the wicked one from among you.

¹⁵ We, who are Jews by birth, and not sinners of the gentiles,

³ among whom also we were all conversant heretofore in our carnal desires, indulging the appetites of the flesh and of our imaginations; and were by nature children of wrath, even as others.

⁵ Likewise ye younger, be subject to the elder; and all of you behaving with due submission one to another, be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, but sheweth favor to the humble.

⁹ I wrote to the church: but Diotrephes, who affects the pre-eminence among them, doth not receive us.

¹⁷ but he that hath the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
