³ Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily verily I tell thee, Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

¹⁸ for verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, not one jot nor one tittle shall pass from the law, till all be compleated.

¹¹ And He answered them, saying, Because it is granted unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not granted: ¹² for whosoever really hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have abundantly; but whosoever thus hath not, even that which he hath, shall be taken away from him: ¹³ for this reason I speak to them in parables; because though they see, they will not see; and though they hear, they will not hear, nor understand. ¹⁴ And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, Ye shall hear by the hearing of the ear, and not understand; and in seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: for the heart of this people is grown stupid, ¹⁵ and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes; least they should see at all with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. ¹⁶ But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear:

¹⁷ And Jesus replied and said unto him, Blessed art thou Simon son of Jonas, for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in heaven.

⁵ And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness attained it not.

¹³ who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

⁵¹ And He saith unto him, Verily verily I say unto you, Ye shall hereafter see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

⁵ Jesus answered, I tell thee of a truth, Unless a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. ⁶ That, which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that, which is born of the Spirit, is spirit.

⁴⁰ He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they might not see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

¹⁹ For Jesus Christ the Son of God, who was preached among you by us, even by me, and Silvanus, and Timothy, was not yea and nay, ²⁰ but was yea in Him, (for all the promises of God are in Him yea, and in Him amen,) to the glory of God by us:

⁴ among whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, doth not shine unto them:

¹⁷ And therefore if any one be in Christ, he is created anew: old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.

¹⁵ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but being created anew.

¹ And you hath he made alive who were dead in trespasses and sins,

⁵ not for works of righteousness which we had done, but according to his own mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the holy Spirit;

¹⁷ and every perfect gift, but no evil one, is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, nor shadow of turning: ¹⁸ who hath of his own will begotten us by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first-fruits of his creatures.

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above first is pure, then peaceable, mild, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath regenerated us to a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

²³ being regenerated not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth for ever. ²⁴ For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass: the grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away; ²⁵ but the word of the Lord abideth for ever. And this is the word which is preached to you in the gospel.

²⁹ If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that every one, who practiseth righteousness, is born of Him.

⁹ Whosoever is born of God doth not practise sin, because his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

¹ Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one, that loveth Him that begat, loveth Him also that is begotten of Him:

¹⁸ We know that whosoever is born of God, doth not practise sin: but keepeth himself from it, and the wicked one doth not touch him.

¹⁴ And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot:
