⁴⁹ and going directly up to Jesus, he said, Hail master, and kissed Him.

²⁹ and having platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they bowed the knee before Him in derision, saying, Hail king of the Jews:

²⁸ And when the angel came in to the room to her, he said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured; the Lord is with thee;

²² And upon his saying these things, one of the officers that stood by struck Jesus, saying, Dost thou answer the high-priest thus?

¹⁹ And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross: and there was written, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. ²⁰ Many of the Jews therefore read this inscription; for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. ²¹ And the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, Write not "The king of the Jews," but that "He said, I am king of the Jews." ²² Pilate answered, What I have written, I have written.
