³³ Little children, I am to be with you but a little while longer. Ye will wish for me, and as I said to the Jews, "Whither I go ye cannot come", so I now tell you.

³³ Therefore Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while I am to be among you, and then I shall go to Him that sent me. ³⁴ Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am to be, ye cannot come.

²¹ Jesus therefore said unto them again, "I am going away, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sin: where I go ye cannot come." ²² The Jews therefore said, What! will He kill himself; that He says, where I am going, ye cannot come? ²³ And He said unto them, Ye are from beneath, I am from above: ye are of this world, I am not of this world. ²⁴ Therefore I said unto you, that ye shall die in your sins; for if ye believe not that I am the Messiah, ye shall die in your sins.

³⁵ Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while the light is to be with you; walk while ye have the light, least darkness overtake you; for he that walketh in the dark knoweth not whither he goeth. ³⁶ While ye have the light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and then went away, and concealed himself from them.

⁴ And ye know where I am going, and ye know the way. ⁵ Thomas saith unto Him, Lord, we know not whither thou art going, and how can we know the way? ⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

¹⁹ Yet a little while, and the world shall see me no more; but ye shall see me: and because I live, ye shall live also.

¹⁶ A little while and ye shall not see me: and again a little while and ye shall see me, because I am going to the Father. ¹⁷ Some of his disciples therefore said one to another, What is the meaning of this that He saith to us, A little while and ye shall not see me, and again a little while and ye shall see me, and---because I am going to the Father? ¹⁸ they said therefore, What is this little while that He speaks of? we do not understand what He means. ¹⁹ Now Jesus knew that they wanted to ask Him, and therefore said unto them, Are ye enquiring among each other about this, that I said, A little while and ye shall not see me, and again a little while and ye shall see me? ²⁰ Verily I tell you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. ²¹ A woman when she is in labor, hath sorrow, because her hour is come; but when she is delivered of the child, she thinks no more of the anguish, for joy, that a man is born into the world. ²² And ye therefore now have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy shall no one take from you.

¹⁹ My little children, of whom I do as it were travail in birth again,

¹ My little children, I write these things unto you, that ye may not sin. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

⁴ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He, that is in you, than he that is in the world.

²¹ Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
