²³ And turning to the disciples, He said to them in particular, Blessed are the eyes that see what ye see: ²⁴ for many prophets and kings desired to see the things which ye see, and did not see them; and to hear what ye hear, but did not hear them.

¹³ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but seen them from afar, and been persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and sojourners on the earth.
