⁶ But God, who comforteth those that are brought low, comforted us by the coming of Titus:

⁴ Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted.

¹⁶ and He will give you another comforter to abide with you for ever:

⁵ And may the God of patience and consolation grant you the like mutual affection to each other, according to the example of Christ Jesus:

¹⁷ I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus: for what was wanting in you, they have made up. ¹⁸ For they have refreshed my spirit as well as yours: have a due regard therefore to such worthy persons.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and God of all consolation; who comforteth us in all our affliction, ⁴ that we may be able to comfort those, that are in any trouble, by the consolation wherewith we ourselves are comforted by God.

¹³ yet I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother there; but taking my leave of them, I went away into Macedonia. ¹⁴ But thanks be to God, who always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and spreadeth the odor of his knowledge by us in every place.

¹³ We were therefore comforted by your consolation; and rejoiced the more at the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all;

¹ If therefore there be any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any participation of the Spirit,

² and sent Timothy our brother, and a minister of God, and our fellow-labourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish and exhort you concerning your faith;

⁶ But now Timothy being come back to us from you, and having brought us good tidings concerning your faith and love, and that ye have always a good remembrance of us, greatly desiring to see us, as we indeed do to see you; ⁷ by this we were comforted in you, my brethren, under all our affliction and distress, because of your faith:

¹⁶ And may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, ¹⁷ and establish you in every good word and work.

² Beloved, I earnestly pray, that thou mayst prosper and be in health, as thy soul prospereth. ³ For I greatly rejoiced, when the brethren came, and bore testimony to thy truth, even as thou walkest in truth. ⁴ And I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in the truth.
