¹⁵ Know ye not that your bodies are members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of an harlot?

¹⁶ He will come and destroy these husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others. And when they heard this they said, God forbid.

³ For what if some did not believe? shall their incredulity make the faithfulness of God of no effect? ⁴ God forbid: yea, let God be acknowledged true, though every man be a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy words, and mightest overcome, when thou judgest.

⁶ for then how shall God judge the world?

³¹ Do we then make the law of none effect through faith? God forbid: yea we establish the law.

² God forbid! how shall we, who are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

¹⁵ What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace?

⁷ What shall we say then? is the law sin? God forbid! Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust to be sinful, if the law had not said, "Thou shalt not covet."

¹³ Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid! But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good: that sin might be shewn by the commandment to be exceeding sinful.

⁵ so we who are many, are one body in Christ, and every one members of each other.

¹³ meats are for the belly, and the belly for meats, but God will destroy both it and them. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

¹⁹ What! know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have from God?

³ But I would have you know that Christ is the head of every man; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

²⁷ Now ye are the body of Christ, and his members each of you in particular.

¹⁷ But if while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore the minister of sin?

²¹ Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? not at all: for if a law had been given, which could have confered life, certainly righteousness would have been by the law.

¹⁴ But God forbid that I should glory, unless in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world.

²² and hath put all things under his feet, and given Him to be head over all things to the church; ²³ which is his body, the complete work of Him, who filleth all in all.

¹² to the edifying of the body of Christ:

¹⁵ but holding the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him, who is the head, even Christ: ¹⁶ from whom the whole body being fitly joined together and compacted by the aid of every joint, according to the operation proportioned to every part, maketh an increase to the edification of itself in love.

²³ for the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and the saviour of that body.

³⁰ for we are members of his body, as if taken out of his flesh, and of his bones, as Eve was out of Adam's.

¹⁹ and not adhering to the head, from which all the body, being supplied and held together as by joints and bands, increaseth with the increase of God.
