¹⁸ For they have refreshed my spirit as well as yours: have a due regard therefore to such worthy persons.

³² that I may come to you with joy, by the will of God, and may be refreshed with you.

⁶ But God, who comforteth those that are brought low, comforted us by the coming of Titus: ⁷ and not only by his coming, but especially by the consolation wherewith he was comforted on your account, acquainting us with your earnest desire towards us, your grief, and your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced greatly.

¹³ We were therefore comforted by your consolation; and rejoiced the more at the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all;

²⁸ I have sent him therefore the more desirously, that when ye see him again ye may rejoice, and I may be the less sorrowful. ²⁹ Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and have such in high esteem:

⁸ whom I have sent to you for this purpose also that he may know your affairs, and comfort your hearts;

⁶ But now Timothy being come back to us from you, and having brought us good tidings concerning your faith and love, and that ye have always a good remembrance of us, greatly desiring to see us, as we indeed do to see you; ⁷ by this we were comforted in you, my brethren, under all our affliction and distress, because of your faith:

¹² And we entreat you, brethren, to respect those that labour among you, and preside over you in the Lord, and instruct you;

⁷ for we have much joy and comfort in thy love, because by thee, dear brother, the bowels of the saints are refreshed.

²⁰ Yea, my brother, let me enjoy this satisfaction from thee in the Lord: and thus refresh my bowels in the Lord.

⁷ Remember your guides, who spake the word of God to you; whose faith imitate, considering the happy end of their conversation.

⁴ And I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in the truth.

¹¹ Beloved, do not thou follow that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doth good is of God: but he, that doth evil, hath not seen God. ¹² A good testimony is borne to Demetrius by all men, and by the truth itself: yea, and we also bear him like witness, and ye know that our testimony is true.
