¹³ for if there be no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen.

²⁵ Jesus then told her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth on me, though he were dead, shall live again. ²⁶ And every one that is alive, and believeth in me, shall never die.

⁸ For the sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor angel, nor spirit; but the pharisees acknowledge both.

²⁴ but for our sakes also, to him it will be imputed, as we believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead: ²⁵ who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

¹¹ And if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead, dwelleth in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead, will also restore your mortal bodies to life, by his Spirit that now dwelleth in you.

²³ And not only others, but those also who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit the redemption of our body.

²⁰ But now Christ is risen from the dead, and is become the first-fruits of them that slept:

¹⁰ cast down, but not destroyed; always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be manifested in our body. ¹¹ For we, who are yet living, are always exposed to death for the sake of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh. ¹² So that death is wrought in us, but life in you. ¹³ But having the same Spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed, and therefore have I spoken," we also believe, and therefore speak: ¹⁴ knowing that He, who raised up the Lord Jesus, will raise up us also by Jesus, and present us with you.

¹ If ye then be risen with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ sitteth at the right hand of God. ² Mind the things above, not those on the earth. ³ For ye are dead as to the world, and your life is hid with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is your life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory.

¹⁴ for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also those, that sleep in Jesus, will God bring with Him.

⁸ As to what remains, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me in that day: and not to me only, but also to all those who have longed for his appearance.

¹⁴ Seeing then the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also himself in like manner partook of them; that by death He might destroy him that had the empire of death, that is, the devil:

²⁰ Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the everlasting covenant,

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath regenerated us to a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

¹⁸ I am the first and the last, who live, though I was dead; and behold, I am alive for ever and ever, Amen, and have the keys of hades and of death.
