³ Or are ye ignorant, that all we who were immersed into Christ Jesus were immersed into His death?

¹⁹ going, therefore, disciple ye all the nations, immersing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;

³⁸ And Peter said to them, "Repent, and be immersed each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, unto remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit;

¹⁶ for as yet He had fallen upon no one of them, but they had only been immersed in the name of the Lord Jesus.

⁵ And, having heard this, they were immersed into the name of the Lord Jesus;

⁴ We were buried, therefore, with Him through the immersion into death; that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life. ⁵ For, if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection;

⁸ But, if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him;

¹⁶ Know ye not that to whom ye present yourselves as slaves for obedience, his slaves ye are whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, or obedience unto righteousness?

¹ Or, are ye ignorant, brethren, (for I am speaking to those who know law), that the law has dominion over the man as long as he lives?

¹⁶ Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God is dwelling in you?

⁶ Your boasting is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

² Or know ye not that the saints will judge the world? And, if the world is judged by you, are ye unworthy of the smallest tribunals? ³ Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more, then, things pertaining to this life?

⁹ Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men,

¹⁵ Know ye not that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I, then, taking away the members of Christ, make them members of a harlot? It could not be! ¹⁶ Or know ye not that he who is united to the harlot is one body? For, "the two", He saith, "shall be one flesh";

¹⁹ Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom ye have from God, and that ye are not your own?

¹³ Know ye not that those who are occupied upon sacred things eat of the things of the temple? and that those who wait at the altar partake with the altar?

²⁴ Know ye not that those running a race, all, indeed, run; but one receives the prize? So run; that ye may obtain.

¹³ for, indeed, in one Spirit were we all immersed into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.

²⁹ Else what will those do who are immersed for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are they even immersed for them?

⁵ Try yourselves, whether ye are in the faith; prove yourselves. Or know ye not as to yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless ye be rejected?

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ; and no longer am I living, but Christ is living in me; and, in so far as I am now living in flesh, I live in the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me. ²¹ I do not set aside the grace of God; for, if righteousness is through law, then Christ died needlessly!

²⁷ for as many of you as were immersed into Christ, did put on Christ.

⁴ Adulteresses! know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever, therefore, purposes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

²¹ which, in its anti-type, immersion, now saves you also (not a putting away of the filth of flesh, but the requirement of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
