⁷ to those who, by patience in well-doing, are seeking for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life;

¹² and, because lawlessness abounds, the love of many will grow cold. ¹³ But he that endures to the end, the same shall be saved.

¹⁵ "And that in the good ground, these are such as, in a good and honest heart, having heard the word, hold it fast, and bear fruit with patience.

⁴⁴ How can ye believe, who receive glory from one another, and the glory which is from God only ye seek not?

⁶⁶ From this time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him. ⁶⁷ Jesus, therefore, said to the twelve, "Do ye also wish to go away?" ⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast words of eternal life. ⁶⁹ And we have believed and know, that Thou art the Holy One of God."

¹⁰ but glory and honor and peace to every one who works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek:

²³ for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord.

¹⁸ For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are of no account in comparison with the glory about to be revealed for us.

²⁴ For by hope we were saved; but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for that which he sees? ²⁵ But, if we hope for that which we see not, we wait for it with patience.

²³ and that He might make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory, even us,

⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. ⁵⁴ And, when this corruptible shall put on incorruption, and this mortal shall put on immortality, then will come to pass the saying that has been written, "Death was swallowed up in victory."

⁵⁸ Therefore, my beloved brethren, become steadfast, immovable, abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

¹⁶ Wherefore, we faint not; but even if our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is being renewed day by day. ¹⁷ For our momentary light tribulation is working out for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; ¹⁸ while we look not at the things that are seen, but at the things that are not seen; for the things that are seen are temporal, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

⁹ And, in doing what is noble, let us not grow weary; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

²⁷ to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory;

¹⁰ but now made manifest through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus; Who abolished death, and brought to light life and incorruption through the Gospel;

⁷ I have contended in the noble contest, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; ⁸ henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will recompense to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.

¹² that ye may not become slothful, but imitators of those who, through faith and long-suffering, inherit the promises.

¹⁵ And thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

³⁵ Cast not away, therefore, your boldness, which, indeed, has great recompense. ³⁶ For ye have need of patience, that, after having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.

⁷ Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth; being patient over it, until it receives the early and latter rain. ⁸ Be ye also patient; establish your hearts, because the coming of the Lord has drawn near.

⁷ that the proving of your faith—being much more precious than gold that perishes, but is proved through fire—may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; ⁸ Whom, not having seen, ye love; on Whom, though now not seeing Him, yet believing, ye exult with joy unspeakable and full of glory;

¹³ but, in so far as ye share in Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of His glory also ye may rejoice with exceeding joy. ¹⁴ If ye are reproached in Christ's name, happy are ye, because the Spirit of glory and that of God rests upon you.

²⁵ And this is the promise which He Himself promised us, the eternal life.

¹⁰ Fear not the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the Devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. ¹¹ He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the assemblies. He that overcomes shall in nowise be hurt by the second death.
