⁴⁷ "Every one who comes to Me, and hears My words, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like:

²⁷ He answered them, "I told you already, and ye did not hear; why do ye wish to hear it again? Do ye also wish to become His disciples?" ²⁸ And they reviled him, and said, "You are His disciple; but we are disciples of Moses.

²⁷ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;

¹⁷ If ye know these things, happy are ye, if ye do them.

¹⁵ "If ye love Me, ye will keep My commandments;

²¹ He who has My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me; and he that loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him." ²² Judas, not Iscariot, says to Him, "Lord, what has happened, that Thou art about to manifest Thyself to us, and not to the world?" ²³ Jesus answered, and said to him, "If any one loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him. ²⁴ He who loves Me not, keeps not My words; and the word which ye hear is not Mine, but the Father's Who sent Me.

⁹ Even as the Father loved Me, I also loved you; abide in My love. ¹⁰ If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love. ¹¹ These things have I spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. ¹² This is My commandment, that ye love one another, even as I loved you. ¹³ Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his soul for his friends. ¹⁴ Ye are My friends, if ye do what I command you.

⁷ to those who, by patience in well-doing, are seeking for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life; ⁸ but to those who are contentious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there shall be wrath and indignation, ⁹ tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that works evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek; ¹⁰ but glory and honor and peace to every one who works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek:

⁹ and, having been made perfect, He became the Author of eternal life to all who obey Him;

²² And become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. ²³ Because, if anyone is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a mirror; ²⁴ for he observed himself, and went away, and straightway he forgot what manner of man he was. ²⁵ But he who looks carefully into a perfect law—that of liberty—and remains by it, becoming not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work—this man shall be happy in his doing.

¹⁷ To him, therefore, who knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.

⁴ to Whom coming, a Living Stone, rejected, indeed, by men, but with God Elect, Precious,

¹⁰ Wherefore, brethren, give the more diligence to make your calling and election sure; for, if ye do these things, ye shall in nowise ever stumble;

²⁹ If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that every one that does righteousness has been begotten of Him.

⁷ Little children, let no one deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.

¹⁴ Happy are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.
