²² And the servant said, 'Sir, what you ordered has been done, and still there is room.'

² In My Father's house are many abiding-places; otherwise, I would have told you; because I am going to prepare a place for you.

¹ The first narrative I made, O Theophilus, concerning all things that Jesus began both to do and to teach, ² until the day in which He was taken up, after having given commandment, through the Holy Spirit, to the apostles whom He chose; ³ to whom He also presented Himself alive, after He suffered, by many proofs; being seen by them during forty days, and speaking the things concerning the Kingdom of God. ⁴ And, being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which said He, "Ye heard from Me; ⁵ because John, indeed, immersed in water, but ye shall be immersed in the Holy Spirit, not many days hence." ⁶ They, therefore, having come together, were asking Him, saying, "Lord, dost Thou at this time restore the Kingdom to Israel?" ⁷ He said to them, "It is not yours to know times or seasons, which the Father placed in His own authority; ⁸ but ye shall receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you, and ye shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and Samaria, and to the utmost limit of the earth." ⁹ And, having said these things, while they were beholding, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him from their sight.

⁸ To me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to proclaim, to the gentiles, the glad tidings of the unsearchable riches of Christ;

⁹ because in Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily;

⁵ For there is one God, one Mediator also between God and men, a Man, Christ Jesus, ⁶ Who gave Himself a ransom for all, the testimony for its own times,

² And He is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.
