²¹ He who has My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me; and he that loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him."

⁸ Concerning this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God our Father Who loved us and gave us eternal consolation and good hope in grace.

¹⁷ The Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the proclamation might be fully announced, and that all the gentiles might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of a lion. ¹⁸ The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will bring me safe into His heavenly Kingdom; to Whom be the glory for ever and ever. ²² The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.

²³ and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness"; and he was called "God's Friend." ²⁴ Ye see that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

¹ That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we gazed upon, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life ² (and the Life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you The Eternal Life; Who, indeed, was with the Father, and was manifested to us); ³ that which we have seen and heard we declare to you also, that ye also may have fellow-ship with us; and our fellowship also is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.

⁵ but whosoever keeps His word, truly in him the love of God has been perfected: in this we know that we are in Him.

¹ Behold what manner of love the Father hath given to us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this cause the world knows us not, because it knew Him not.

¹⁸ Little children, let us not love in word, neither with the tongue, but in deed and in truth. ¹⁹ Hereby we shall know that we are of the truth, and we shall assure our heart before Him; ²⁰ because, if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have confidence toward God; ²² and whatsoever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments, and do the things that are pleasing before Him. ²³ And this is the commandment, that we should believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment. ²⁴ And he that keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him; and in this we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit Whom He gave to us.

³ For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome;

⁶ And this is love, that we walk according to His commandment. This is the commandment, even as ye heard from the beginning, that ye should walk in it.

¹⁷ He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the assemblies. To him that overcomes, to him will I give of the Hidden Manna; and I will give him a white stone, and upon the stone a new name written, which no one knows, but he that receives it.

²⁰ "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if anyone hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

¹⁴ Happy are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.
